Question about Welbilt ABMIL2P Bread Maker

Black appears in dough

Our breadmachine has been working well, but now, after 2 years the finished dough has black in and may be coming from wear between paddle and pan. Any ideas?

Probably need a new bread pan. I had great success in finding what I wanted for my breadmaker at http://breadmakerpartsemporium.ioffer.com/. They have manuals and parts for most breadmakers at very reasonable prices.

My sunbeam breadmachine started getting the oil spots, leaked into dough and eventually whatever held the paddle shaft onto the bread pan disintegrated or disappeared. Would that be the seal or some kind...

Hi
As long as the drive mechanism beneath the pan is still stiff to turn and fels like it engages the motor you should be fine. See pic. The centre 4 spike drive unit is what is important. Normally the toothed drive belt will fail. If this is still good then replace the pan.3f754847-72d6-45ec-a55c-8ca7f7deffab.jpg

The paddle keeps coming off during mixing and leaving a black stain in the dough

Hi, The sealed bearing located on the bottom of the bread pan has failed. This bearing is sealed with lubricant to allow the paddle shaft to spin easily. The black stain you see is the lubricating grease. You need a new bread pan. Hank

First time use. set machine to dough and pressed

Hi, Keep the bread pan out of the machine and start a kneading cycle. Look through the lid window and see if the motor shaft is turning. If no...then the belt fell off. If the motor spins, check to make sure the paddle spins freely. Keep pan out and turn paddle by hand. If no then the bearing is frozen. If that's ok..make sure you inserted the pan correctly into machine. If everything checks out then it's a faulty machine. Before you do anything send it out for warranty service. Usually it's warranted for a year. Hank

The machine bogs down when mixing the dough for bread

You should be using a dough Hook not paddle I have a Kitchenaid stand mixer and it uses a hook for dough paddles offer too much resistance for dough.

Makes a bad loose sound when mixing dough

My Breadmakers Hearth was making the same sound, so after taking it apart I found that it was only the Bread Pans "under paddle" that the machine reaches up and connects to to drive the Paddle. I wears loose and wobbles and starts to slip making that banging sound. You can either replace the Bread Pan or like I did INVERT the under paddle (requires removing the C-clamp washer) to extend the life of the Pan and use of the Hearth. Hope this helps you.

Removing finished bread from pan

Before the baking cycle begins, remove the bread pan ,shake out the batter onto a piece of waxed paper, remove the paddle from the bread pan, place batter back into the pan, close lid. This way you only have a small hole in the finished loaf. I prefer the 1.5 pound rye bread, and set a kitchen timer for 2 hours 5 minutes-when the "shape" cycle finishes,we remove the paddle.
This is listed in my manual on page 76,item # 7;heading is METHOD.
Front of the manual lists the times for the cycles, just add them up.
(When you dump the batter back into the pan,try to pat down the rough edges,it looks better).

I have a problem with uneven shaped loaves

The paddles fit two ways, so what you must do is have them facing opposite ways, then they fight with each other and elongate the loaf
