The word is Format which resets your PC to its original state Do you still have the boot Disk if so install it and follow the promps.
If not make a back-up  and only copy the system files and programs you want . and format it and reinstall what you need.
this will not get rid of BUGS
 Hope it helps

I just bought a new nexxtech 16gb sdhc memory and everytime i turn on my camera it says the memory needs to be formatted. after choosing "continue" when it says formatting will delete...

I would check your C663 manual to make sure your camera is capable of reading a 16GB card. Because thats a fairly large drive for such a a legacy camera I would also insert the card in your PC and format it there to make sure it is functional. Maybe copy some files on it and delete it to make sure the card is working properly.

I bought a new hard drive for my acer 5100 and it

The different model of hard drive should not make a difference. As long as you are using the same type....IDE or SATA...you should be fine.

If you installed the new drive and now the computer keeps rebooting....you probably need to tell the computer to boot from the CD first and not the Hard Drive. When you first turn on the laptop, boot into BIOS by hitting the DELETE or F2 key....it is normally the Delete key.

This will boot into BIOS where you can find the BOOT OPTION menu and select the CD as the first boot device. This will allow the computer to boot from the Windows CD you should already have in your cd drive.

If this does not help.... I would take the new hard drive out and boot the computer without any drive installed. If you are still in a reboot loop, the problem is not with the hard drive and more than likely an issue with the RAM. To rule out the RAM, take one stick out and see if that makes a difference...repeat with the second stick....

Hope this helps

The reason that the date is set to 1970 is probably that the pram battery needs charging or replacing.
