Question about IBM ThinkPad T41 Notebook

1 Answer

Messed with Boot sequence.Now T41 won't boot!

Yes I'm stupid but I was trying to reload XP & couldn't get the T41 to boot from the CD. I messed with the boot sequence (I may have removed the HD from the list!) and now it won't start. After trying the IBM button, I get the message "Authentication of System services failed".
How to completely reset this PC back to a state I can reload software.
I don't mind wiping the HD and starting again. Can anyone help.
Thanks
Ian

Thanks for your suggestion. I have tried that "booting from CD0 DVD/CDRW" with three different disks. Is there a way of bringing back the original boot sequence?

    Cheers

With the cd reboot and press F12 for a temporary boot list, select boot from cd. At this point just choose install xp and follow the prompts.
