Message : SetupX.exe: CantOpen Msi Database (Path: C:\.........\unit_app_30\unit.msi) for precondition checks.
Exiting deployment process ...
I had the same problem after a previous bad installation of Nero.
I solved it by completely removing that installation.
Check that these folders are deleted:
and more important:
\program files\common files\Nero
Then clean your registry and re-install

Thanks!!!. I had the same problem and was trying everything I know to make it reinstall. I didnt know that there was a directory created under common files. When deleted, everything worked like a charm.
