Question about Epson Stylus DX6050 All-In-One InkJet Printer
My computer has crashed and when i turn it on the desktop screen is wavering and you can see many of each icon. I have tried to uninstall the driver but error 1719 comes up. If anyone has any ideas i would appreciate some advice.
This can probably be fixed. First, check that your cable coming from your monitor is tightened firmly to the socket on the back of your PC. If need be, remove this, its ok if the PC is still on, and then reattach to the plug and 'firmly' tighten the plug into the socket.
Let me know if this has resolved your problem. If not, proceed with then following paragraphs below.
Shut the PC down cold. Remove the power cord and leave it off for a few minutes. Reattach the power cord. Turn the PC on. While booting press F8 by tapping on that key like a piano key. You will get a Safe Mode boot menu. Should you get a boot source option menu, hit ESC and be prepared to hit F8 immediately to get the Safe Mode boot menu. Choose Safe Mode from this screen, then acknowledge you're booting into Windows by pressing Enter. Once you are in Safe Mode just acknowledge that you are in Safe Mode by pressing OK.
Now, you need to change the display driver refresh rate. Open Control Panel, activate the Display Icon. Click on the Settings Tab and then Advanced button. You want to change the refresh rate at this point. Click on the Adapter Tab and then the button that says List All Modes. Now select this refresh rate 72HZ. Acknowledge (and if given a preview and you have a normal display choose OK or Accept to keep the change) Now, back out by pressing OK every time until you are back to your desktop.
Now, restart your PC normally and see if you get a normal view of your Desktop.
