Just had new tv set up but can't connect playstation 2.
The ps2 runs through aerial connection in tv.
Have set options for tv to accept external devices and set AV3 as game channel. Be grateful for your help.

Connect the HDMI cable to the playstation 3 and LG TV.
Press the input button on your LG remote until you see the new HDMI connection.
If there is no picture, Hold the power button on your PS3 until you see lights flahing on the console, this will reset the playstation to default., as it may be set for a RCA signal, thus no pictue through HDMI.
could be one of a few things, low signal strength, aerial out of line with transmitter. bad coax connections losing signal strength. coax broken inside, or old and not low loss. Get the aerial checked for direction, half a degree out of line over a few miles and you will lose a lot of signal strength, as will old coax (aerial cable) and if you are using an unshielded coax you could be losing signal strength through the cable itself. Replace the connecters and try to use a straight run of cable instead of having joins in it as these joins, even if using connecters, will cause a weak signal. If yiu are running more than one tv off your aerial, invest in a booster.
make sure that the plug on ps2 is connected and check the settings on tv and the settings on ps2 browser are correct if possible check ps2 on another tv to be sure of it's settings if the ps2 works the check channel setting on tv make sure it's not in pal setting it should be ntsc and also check the antenna setting make sure it might be set to cable and also check cables of any sharp kinks your problem is with the yellow cable red and white is the sound
First off you need to retire that ps2 and join the PS3 revolution, well worth the money although with the recent drop of the inferior x-box 360 the PS3 may follow suit shortly.
Now, I'm gathering from your discription limited as it may be that you had an adapter that connected the the stock cable that was included with your ps2 which consists of the end that interfaces with the ps2 and the end that is ment to provide the signal to your tv which includes your composite video (yellow) and your left and right audio (red&white).
If this is case then it should be a simple matter of removing the adapter that changed the source (ps2) signal to aerial and pluging the yellow red and white cables direct to your tv (standard imputs at the rear of the television should be video 1,2,3 ect.
Then just make sure your tv is on and set to the correct imput and you should be rockin and rolling in no time.
Do you mean a Playstation 2? If so, buy a SCART to component converter (like a SCART plug but with yellow white and red inputs) Put it in one of the SCART sockets and plug in your PS2. Hope that helps...
I don't think it's a configuration problem at all. I do think that the set is not adjusting to the correct format.
Most Stores have 30 day return policy. If it's over 30 days then they may not take it back. If you bought it online, then, the return may be difficult.
If the return is not possible, then, contact Toshiba online and find a local Toshiba authorized servicer in your area.
Hope this helps.
