Question about Casio Parts Cash Register PC Desktop

Casio PCR-262 I have a casio register that is bringing up an error when ever i do pretty much anything. If i move it a little it brings up an E in the left side of screen. Anytime i press 0 or 00 its brings up an E. Occasionally it will not feed paper. Im not sure if it got something spilled on it or not.

Try hitting the Clear button, then subtotal. That works for us.

It definitely sounds like liquid damage in the keyboard. It is a classic symptom for an error to appear when the machine is moved. If you want to try fixing it yourself, you can take it apart and take the screws out of the plate under the keyboard. you should find thin plastic membranes with little tracks and dots running all over them (carbon stripes). The membrane will plug into a board somewhere. Take these out (noting how they go back in), and gently wash with a little detergent in warm water. Just sponge them, don't scrub hard. Now dry thoroughly. put back in keyboard and plug keyboard back into circuit board. Put screws in and try it. If you need more help, just ask.

You sure can. It will show the word charge on your daily reports. that is the only difference. Just a label for the same key

How can I clear a transaction and start over, when I keep getting an error message and beeping?


I would try to input an amount to see if it clears, if you still have manual that came with it there is a number that you can call for help

My casio cash register PCR-T2000 won't go into z mode anymore. when the key is in the z mode, the display shows "x" and it doesn't respond to any inputs. Searched the manual and online posts. Suggesti


Your machine needs a service. Get a qualified tech to service the Key slot for you you will be fine or you might have to replace it altogether. Good luck
