Re: unable to identify the manufacturer and model of the...
Be sure the camera is plugged into the USB port before
running the program. As you run the program, write down the info about the
camera so you will know what you have . Double click on this site and download the Camera Diagnostic Tool
and run it to check out your camera and/or problem. http://www.download32.com/webcam-diagnostics-d35065.html
I ran the diagnostic on my camera to give you an idea how
well it works.
Give it a try.
Hope this helps.Bud

Please be informed that any hardware device needs a driver software to run within a PC, and the driver software depends on the Hardware Make/Model and the Operating System software you are using in your PC to operate it.You will get the Driver software of any hardware within the CD provided with the hardware part at the time of its purchase. The hardware may be an entire PC,Laptop,VGA card, sound card, LAN card, webcam, printers, scanners etc.
If you do not have the CD or misplaced it somewhere then you need to download the driver software to get going. Thus you need to know all the above information to get the exact software your PC needs. As you have not mentioned the Model Number of the webcam you are using, i am unable to give you the direct download link.
However you can download the same by just visiting the company website's download section that manufactured the product.
If you feel that, my answers have helped you getting solution to your problems then please give a vote
Please be informed that
any Driver software depends upon the hardware make and Operating System. So, you
need to know all these information's to do get going.
Please find the Driver software's of your webcam
inside the installation disk provided with the System at the time of purchase. In
case if you do not posses the same then you need to download the
driver software from the web. As you have not mentioned your Webcam make and
Operating System you are using, I am unable to give you the direct download
link. However you can download the same by visiting the website of the company
that manufactured the Webcam.
Even here you need to be careful to download the
correct software for your PC. You need to be exact with the Webcam Model number
and the OS that you are using.
After you have downloaded the driver, to install just plug in the webcam on to
your PC and then Double click on the driver setup.exe file and go on clicking
'Next' until you get the 'Finish' option and restart the PC.
Here are two links to driver files. The first is for the PK-335MB, the second for the PK-335E. These are the two models of PK-335 manufactured by A4Tech. Identify which one you have, and then download the corresponding file to install the drivers. If you are unable to figure out which one you have, download and install both. Your computer will then automatically select the correct driver for the camera.
To get the drivers you should always go to the manufacturers website (put the word support in front, i.e - if its hp search google for "support.hp") and you should then find your model number and get the drivers from there. DO NOT TRUST any program that purports to find your drivers for you or locate missing drivers, always get your drivers from the manufacturers site. Also, NEVER ever pay for drivers, the manufacturers ALWAYS provide drivers for their products and will never ever charge for the drivers. Please please remember to vote if my solution was helpful to you, and if I did not help then please let me know and I can try further steps to assist you :)
If you are able to hear audio with a music CD or any other application, then you must un-install the software for the camera, reboot and then reinstall.
If you are unable to hear any sound, then your audio driver may have been knocked out by the camera installation. To reinstall, go to manufacturer of computer's website, click on support, enter model number and choose operating system. The page that follows will allow you to download, free, the audio driver. Restart the computer and see if this helps.
Hi Thanks for your question
I would advice to get driver from manufacturers website which is free for real.
This is link to it- http://www.labtec.com/index.cfm/service/listing/EUR/EN,crid=68,crid2=1764
Just click on it and it should take you straight to the website with drivers. Choose your camera model and download driver. Please remember that camera should be unplugged during installation unless prompt to plug it in by installation program. You should be up and running within few minutes. Please let us know if this was helpful afterwards. Best of luck
Visit the logitech website and Identify your camera from the photo gallery - older models on page 2 - look for the link at the bottom of page 1 ( still cant find your model ?) When you find your model click on the photo to navigate to that model's support page.
Did you try using the software that came with it? If you're running Vista or Windows 7 it's likely that if your web cam is somewhat older than a couple of years, it may not be recognized or may not be compatible.
We need to know the manufacturer, model number, etc to be able to find you a driver that works with your camera and your operating system.
