Oven not working

The gill is working but the oven is not, not even the oven light or fan. I have done as suggested in the manual, which is to shut the unit down at the mains, allow to cool before turning the power on again. But no luck. The oven was is use in time of it failing, for about 20 minutes. I set the oven to 200C but the oven thermometer (separate unit) only showed the oven was at 150C Please can anyone help? Regards Mei Chin

When I turned both ovens on - the power failed after a couple of minutes. I've heard this is not uncommon for the brand. Any suggestions?

Is breaker tripped? Often, people trip breaker before service for safety then forget to reset later. Is unit connected to power supply? Bulb can burn out, but fan not working strongly suggests no power to unit.

The fan doesn't turn off even the oven is not in use,the cooker is almost brand new

draft fans are not usually controlled by any front panel controls , no they work strictly by temperature , they keep going till oven cools off then shut down , now if it never stops even if oven is ice cold , then the control that feeds fan is defective and needs service

You need to check the thermostat it's usually the problem with most ovens.it's the prob that runs down in the oven with a solid copper looking wire Google it it will tell you how to test it.

Fan won't shut off after oven cools down

Most fan ovens have a control sensor which allows tthe fan to operate even after you have turned the oven off to prevent overheating.

It sounds as if this sensor has stuck in the closed position thus leaving the fan running .

You will need to replace the fan control unit at the back of the oven.

Is the background cooling fan running? Also, look under the oven and if possible take off the kick panel and clean all the rubbish out to ensure the cooling fan can circulate air round. As a check, when you turn any part of the oven on ( Main/top/grill) the cooling fan will run and you will feel a cool draft of air coming out of the gap just above the top of the main oven door. If the fan is not running, this will cause the unit to overheat and the overheat thermostats to kick in, turning the oven off.
If the fan is not running, you will have to take the whole unit out to gain access to the back panel.

Oven shuts off?

F34 is a cooling motor fault. May sure that the cooling motor is running. If not, then check that there is 120 volts to the motor. The motor sensor on this oven is attached to the cooling fan. It could be a simple issue of loose wire in the connector. Find the wiring going to the relay unit from the motor, pull the connector and hold a flash light on the back side of the connector. You should see almost no light. If you see mostly light, there is your loose connection.
