The only way someone can get a PS1 to play PS2 games is if they modified a PS2 to look like a PS1. The hardware inside a PS1 is not powerful enough and not complex enough to run PS2 games. They would need to take a PS1, and take the insides out. Then take the insides of a PS2 and modify it so it functionally fit inside a PS1. This seems like cool albeit pointless way to modify your PS1 and PS2. Thanks for the question!
sorry buddy you cant unlock a ps2 to play pirated games. but depending on what kind of ps2 you have you can modify it to play your copied games if it is a fat ps2 you will need to buy a modchip for it or if you have a slim ps2 like mine all you have to do is order some swap magic discs at modchip.ca or .com then modify your slime line with a fliptop cover or the cheap free way is to use the tape and tissue mod that i use( just google tape and tissue mod) i play all my copied games and they work just fine. you can even play the classics such as sega genesis or supernes. afterdawn.com is an awsome website for all your ps2 modding needs it has all the guides from burning games to modding your ps2
^^ hoped tht helps
buy swap magic disk with accessories to run any type of game or get it to shop for mod chip but it remove you console warranty but all type of games run easily.if you don't want to end warranty then swap magic is best for you.remind that swap magic must with all tools otherwise you cannot run any type of game.
You might need to get your ps2 modified so it can read all kinds of disc...i had the same problem before with my console so i took it to a shop and got it checked and modified. when i got my console back it was working really well. Thanks.
