Question about Compaq Presario 700 470024-192 Notebook
Computer was working fine and then suddenly just died. now it won't run and won't power up the blue LED on the side won't even light up and it died while plugged in so it just isn't a dead battery
Sounds like the power supply might have died, probably before the battery did. Once the battery had run down, the computer simply died. Easiest way to check this would be to take it to a computer shop - they shouldn't charge you very much just to check the power supply - or try to locate another supply just like it and see if the computer will boot from the new power supply.
