Y!Mail causes my iPhone 3G mail application to crash and return to the home screen every time Y!Mail account is turned on. I tried accessing Y!Mail account on another iPhone 3G and the same problem occurred. When Y!Mail is not active or installed on the phone, the other mail accounts operate normally. The Y!Mail app worked for four months but about 10 days ago, it suddenly stopped working properly. I have backed up and restored the phone with Apple support to no avail. Since the problem occurred on a different phone, it's apparent the problem is being caused by Yahoo and is not a hardware issue with the phone. Can you suggest a course of action to restore the phone to its previous state of receiving push email from Yahoo? Thanks, gsa8909

After deleted you need to switch the iphone off and then on again, go into setting and create the yahoo main account again. Hope that can help you.

First step is try reseting the network settings. You can do this by going to settings/general/reset and reset network settings.
This will drop you off the network and reset your phone. Bringing your phone back up with current network settings.
Try sending mail. If this doesn't work, try changing your outgoing mail server.
Go into settings/mail, contacts, and calendars/(your yahoo account)/Outgoing mail server.

Click on your primary yahoo server and switch this server to off. click the blue smtp arrow on the very top left. This will bring you back to the server list. go to the AT&T smtp server and turn this server on.
Go ahead and exit out either by the arrow or the home button.
