Question about Yahoo Mail
Y!Mail causes my iPhone 3G mail application to crash and return to the home screen every time Y!Mail account is turned on. I tried accessing Y!Mail account on another iPhone 3G and the same problem occurred. When Y!Mail is not active or installed on the phone, the other mail accounts operate normally. The Y!Mail app worked for four months but about 10 days ago, it suddenly stopped working properly. I have backed up and restored the phone with Apple support to no avail. Since the problem occurred on a different phone, it's apparent the problem is being caused by Yahoo and is not a hardware issue with the phone. Can you suggest a course of action to restore the phone to its previous state of receiving push email from Yahoo? Thanks,
Problem resolved itself. Yahoo mail must have made the necessary changes to eliminate this problem. Thanks to all who may have given this problem some thought.

I got it work out at the end on my iphone 3GS: you first need to delete that yahoo mail account then delete any yahoo messenger apps or nimbuzz or ebuddy that using the yahoo account to chat. After deleted you need to switch the iphone off and then on again, go into setting and create the yahoo main account again. Hope that can help you.

1. Remove Sim Card
2. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until Apple logo appears
3. Replace Sim Card
4. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until normal phone screen appears.
Also, Try this:
1.) Shut down the iPhone 3G.
2.) Start up iTunes
3.) Hold down HOME button on the iPhone 3G
4.) While keeping the HOME button depressed, plug in the Sync cable
5.) A message will pop up to ask if you want to reset.
6.) Just click YES and the reset process should start.
