Question about GE PSC23NHN Side by Side Refrigerator

Monogram refrigerator side by side

The water dispenser ssometimes does not deliver water when the lever is pusher on the door. The filter was changed as well as the water valve. Sometimes if you hold the levaer in for a minute or two it will slowly drip and then start to work. other times it will work completely normal for and few days and then stop working. Help please Robert29

Robert, it almost sounds like your water reservoir is freezing some. This is located in the back of the lower section of the refrigerator behind the drawers. You can also check to make sure the water lever is making the switch and calling for water. The next time this happens, take a hair dryer to the water reservoir and go over it lightly back and forth. See if it makes the difference. back.

Then try replacing the dual water control valve. Water dispenser dripping water all the time


First be sure the refrigerator is connected to a cold water supply. After connecting the refrigerator to a water source or replacing the water filter, flush the water system. Use a sturdy container to depress and hold the water dispenser lever for 5 seconds, and then release it for 5 seconds. Repeat until water begins to flow. Once water begins to flow, continue depressing and releasing the dispenser lever (5 seconds on, 5 seconds off) until a total of 12 L has been dispensed. This will flush air from the filter and water dispensing system, and prepare the water filter for use. Additional flushing may be required in some households. As air is cleared from the system, water may spurt out of the dispenser.

One or two drops of water immediately after dispensing is normal. It may be necessary to hold the container under the dispenser for 2 to 3 seconds after releasing the dispenser lever.

There may be an issue with the water inlet valve, the dispenser's electronic control board or a dispenser water switch. Contact an appliance service company

Water dispenser is not working

check your water filter (change it) or a water valve in the back of the fridge. make sure it has power on it when the water lever is pushed. if there is power there then most likely its the valve.

No water from Water dispensor

Have you checked your water valve? I dont have your model number but you could have what you call a double water valve and one side of it may be out, alternately you may need to change your water filter if you havent done that yet. I have seen were the water stops dispensing first and then stops making ice. have you changed the filter lately? If not change it then if that doesnt work check water inlet valve...

I'm just a home owner, not an expert. Could be a frozen line. I think GE has had problems with this. I think they've retro-fitted their doors with better insulation that prevents the lines from freezing.

Ge monogram water line

the water dispenser does not dispense water, although i can hear the motor running, but water is reaching the ice maker.
any tips?

You may have a clogged water line or filter something blocking the flow of the water or you may have to replace the filter or a water line – it may have a defective sending unit / pump and it would be wise to check it out with a regular service tech and to also check your owner’s manual for troubleshooting.

Water does not dispense from the door but there is water to the filter fitting

connect the water line in to the solenoid [with out the filter] to see if u dispensing water
