How to convert decimals into exact values? can actually the casio calculator work it out? for example : converting 1.570796327 to π/2

or just converting the π into the decimal value or vise versa.

Hello,

No the calculator cannot convert decimal values into excat values.

Hope it helps.

Hi,

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

goodluck!

### How to convert percent to fraction

1% = 1/100

So in order to convert percent to fraction, divide the percent by 100% and reduce the fraction.

For example 56% is equal to 56/100 with gcd=4 is equal to 14/25:

56% = 56/100 = 14/25

- Divide the percent by 100 to get decimal number.
- Count the number of digits (d) to the right of the decimal point of the decimal number.Example: 2.56 has 2 digits to the right of the decimal point, so d=2.
- Calculate the factor (f) for making the decimal number an integer:
*f*= 10*to power d*

Example:

*f*= 10 power 2 = 100

- Multiply and divide the decimal number x by the factor f:
*x***f*/*f*=*y*/*f*

Example:

2.56 * 100 / 100 = 256 / 100

- Find the greatest common divisor (gcd) of the fraction.
Example:

gcd(256,100) = 4

- Reduce the fraction by dividing the numerator and denominator by the gcd value:
Example:

256 / 100 = (256/4) / (100/4) = 64/25

1% = 1/100

So in order to convert percent to fraction, divide the percent by 100% and reduce the fraction.

For example 56% is equal to 56/100 with gcd=4 is equal to 14/25:

56% = 56/100 = 14/25

A fraction is itself a value. If you want its decimal representation perform the division. On the Casio FX99ES, you can convert a fraction to its decimal representation by pressing the S<=>D key.

Here is a sample of the percentage calculations that the calculator can perform. You will not see among them the conversion from decimals to percentages.

To convert from decimals to percents move the decimal mark 2 places to the right and append the % sign.

To convert from percents to decimals, move the decimal mark 2 places to the left.

I am not sure there is a question expressed here. If you have a formula you want to use to calculate some quantity in it, state the formula, provide the known values and we will show you how to enter it. As to what it serves for, I for one do not need to know.

The following examples will demonstrate how to
convert decimals into fractions using the TI-30Xa and TI-30Xa Solar.
Please be aware that TI-30Xa Solar School Edition calculators do not
have this functionality.

**Example**: Convert .25 to 1/4

- Input .25, press [2nd][<--] (says F<>D above it).

**** F<>D means fraction to decimal, decimal to fraction. **

**Example**: Convert 1.38 to 1_19/50

- Input 1.38, press [2nd][<--].

**Example**: Convert 9.75 to 9_3/4

- Input 9.75, press [2nd]{<--].

- Input .25, press [2nd][<--] (says F<>D above it).

- Input 1.38, press [2nd][<--].

- Input 9.75, press [2nd]{<--].

In MthIO mode the calculator always try to display the exact rational answer if possible.

To convert a single value to decimal, press the S--D key. To have all results come out in decimal, press SHIFT MODE 2 to select the LineIO mode.

Use the key above the ENG key to enter a value in DMS form, ending each portion with the key. To convert it to decimal, press SD once (or twice if you get a fraction the first time).

Example: sine of 12 degrees 15 minutes:

sin 12 *** 15 *** =

where *** is the DMS key.

You can always convert a fraction to a decimal. The reverse may not alwas be possible.

Look at the example on the screen capture.

Hello,

When you have a fraction output, press the [S<->D] key to convert to decimal, the same key to convert from decimal to fraction. Beware that fraction results are exact, while decimal values are approximate.

However if you cannot stand the sight of a fraction, there is a way to get rid of this type of output.

Here is how you do it.

[SHIFT][MODE][2:LineIO]. All your results will be in decimal. However you will lose a lot of functionalities, such as calculating the logarithm in any base, manipulating radicals.

My advice, if you allow, is to activate the [SHIFT][MODE][1:MathIO] and press the [S<->D] whenever you want a result (be it a fraction or radical) in decimal format.

Hope it helps.

Hello,

No the calculator cannot do that.

But if you do [2nd][Pi] [EXE] then just after [2nd][tan-1][2nd][Ans] you get 1. If you use the inverse trigonometric functions you will never have a value such as pi/4 or pi or pi/2. If angle unit is set to degrees you recover the exact values of the angles (they are integers anyway.

Hope it helps.
