Ok

Try to give a Text page to print
and go in print preference(properties)
and in colour selection select Grayscale and give print to ur printer..
it should print given text in black.

Different Printers have "colour selection" in different types of windows so Happy to read printer manual.

if problem remains try to Uninstall printer dirver and install again..
If problem again remains u should ckeck ur printer to service centre.

Hi,

As you have suspected, it is a clogged black print head. A manually cleaning could be tried as illustrated here with the use of cotton swabs, isopropyl alcohol or possibly ammonia-based window cleaner. Alternatives are discussed here. Of course care must be exercised so as not to aggravate the issue.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Best work around for this is to callibrate the printer using the utility it came with through the CD. If that did not work, remove the colored cartridge, then try to force the printer to print black, or you can try to uninstall and reinstall the printer to reset the ink monitor installed on your computer. you may also try to reset the printer by uplugging the power and leaving it off for about 30 minutes.

if you have other issue, just let us know.

Why is my dcp135c printing images in brown instead of black

Several probable causes of this.
  1. Your Black is empty and the printer is trying to approximate the Black using the other colours. Check and replace Black.
  2. Your Black printhead is blocked and all you are seeing is the other colours that are used to make the black into a full black. Check cartridge and do a printhead clean to see if this clears it. Also print off a print quality test sheet (In the Ink Management options on the printer)
  3. Another colour has been put into the Black Slot on your printer. Replace the incorrect cartridge and hope that the printhead has not been damaged by using the wrong cartridge. May need several printhead cleans to clear incorrect ink from the feed lines.
Hope this helps.

Hello,
Sounds like your print head may be faulty. If you can, get it replaced. This is caused by using recycled cartidges or faulty ink cartridge.

Thanks,

My printer will not print black ! it prints every other colour, but not black. I changed the ink cartridge and i cleaned the heads. What else can i do? It has been a loyal printer until today. please

Hi you mentioned that the Ink is new and that you have cleaned the ink heads, have you checked if the silicon Film for the ink cartridge contact was removed?

if that film is not removed cleaning the printer head will still not detect the ink cartridge for the Black on your printer.

Turn your printer OFF and remove all your print cartridges then install all of them again one at a time then turn the printer back ON, see if all the ink cartridges are now detected and if the Black will now print.

Also if you can

Changed new ink but when i print, the pages come out blank with no ink. Printing motion takes place but some how the ink done not reach the paper.

I had the same problem with my DCP 165.It simply wouldnt print. The paper was coming out but it was Blank.I had changed all the cartridges so there was no obvious issue with the ink. Then I printed a test page.It printed all the colour blocks except the black. Then i found out from Brother website that it was a problem with cleaning and after seeral cleaning cycles the printer worked fine. STEPS 1>ink management 2>Cleaning 3>Black or colour 4>OK Repeat the above process several times and try printing after that...Hope it works

Changed ink and now the printer wont print

The old ink has probably dried, plugging the jets. Try going through the cleaning cycle (several times if necessary). If it begins to print at all then let the printer set overnight and try cleaning again.

Try cleaning the black printer heads several times in a row, at least 5 times then print a black document with best quality setting.
Press the ink button, then down to select select cleaning and then press menu/set and menu/set again to select black.

I have a Lexmark 1200 printer. Colour promlems

It could be that the cartridge has become dry.
you have to try several head cleans using the printer software and if that doesnt help then the cartridge needs to be replaced.

Cant print

Ink button on? Check status monitor? I think is ink out message. Head cleaning for several time, throw ink too much. If u don't use CISS, after instaled ink tank, just wait for 1 hour before use printer. Ink will flow to head itself.

My black ink will not print. If I change the colour, it prints find. It is a new cartridge.

First you need to ensure that this is not a driver problem, by reinstalling drivers and testing the printer on a different computer.

Also ensure that ink cartridges are OK, try replacement inks.

If the problem is not a software problem, and the printer is recognised by computer, and the printout is coming as a blank or faded page, then you usually have a faulty or clogged printhead.

Try first performing print head cleaning procedure from printer tools, that may not fix the problem, but do the cleaning a couple of times, just in case.

If the print head is clogged, that can be fixed soaking the print head in isopropyl alcohol overnight.

If still no luck, then the printhead must be replaced, here is the part: Canon MULTI-PASS F-80 Print Head $61.00

Refilled ink cartridges problem colour

this is not a printer problem, you have a problem with colour cartridge! u can fix this in 2 diferent way: 1. replace the colour cartridge with new one, or gently clean the nozzle cartridge with a wet tissue until the cyan colour mark a line on the tissue just like the others colours: yellow and magenta. maybe must repeat this several times.
