Keyboard keys wont type. used on screen keyboard to type this. any suggestions?

You might have "sticky keys" so try this:
When sticky keys are enabled, users can access functions that require pressing multiple modifier keys such as "Ctrl," "Alt" and "Shift" at once by pressing one button at a time. If sticky keys are enabled, it is possible to accidentally turn them on at an unwanted time. After turning off the sticky keys, disable the feature to prevent them from accidentally turning on again.

    • Press the "Shift" button five times in a row to turn off sticky keys.

    • Open the "Start" menu and then click "Control Panel."

    • Click "Ease of Access Center" from within the Control Panel window.

    • Click "Make The Keyboard Easier To Use" from within the Ease of Access Center window.

    • Remove the check-mark beside "Turn On Sticky Keys" to prevent sticky keys from being accidentally turned on.

    • Click "Apply" to save your changes and then click "OK" to close the window.
Hope this helps. Good Luck!

Disable shortcut dell latitude

reply-r Jans,

In Windows XP:
To turn off hot keys go to Start Button->Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Services and scroll down until you find the service name HID Input Service.
Double-left-click on this service and change the Startup Type to disabled. Click Apply and then OK. Close out your open windows and restart your computer and the hot keys should not trouble you.

This file was not closed in previous session. Rolling back to last fully recorded transaction.

It's pretty much just like it says:
You either, didn't close out the program right by manually saving the last information you entered.
Or,the system shut down while the program was open, like a power failure or accidental reboot.
Did you have the task manager open, to close out programs, maybe to regain some memory, accidentally closing the program?
Something happen to close out that program before the last entered data was saved

I accidentally pulled the interior trunk release of 2008 volkswag

Try a screw driver, and release the trunk release at the same time and unsnap the latch, the latch thinks it is closed, because the latch never opened back up to allow the striker to go in it and trigger the latch to close, the latch is in closed mode, you will have to manually unlatch the latch sort of speak.

I need to close over 900 finder windows all at once. I was selecting approx 950 folders in the finder to transfer from one external hard drive to another and I accidentally opened all of the folders in...

What if you use system restore from safe mode or another admin account to restore the system back to a previous state. You could choose the last restore point available.
You don't mention what OS you're using, but I suspect this would work...see instructions here.
Or, you could press F8 at boot and try Last known good configuration. If that doesn't work, try booting with selective services enabled and only allow basic startup services to boot. Then you could use something like this to close all the applications....

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

The close ''X'' at the right top of the inbox page disappeared.

This windows icon only appears on the internet explorer window on the toolbar. SO I'm guessing you somehow accidentally got you IE window Floating and pushed up a bit to the point of NOT seeing the close box.

To resolve your problem findow the IE window tab on the start bar. right click it and select close. this will close the window and when you reopen itthe close box should be in a position that you can view.

If this fails then do the same thing but rather than select "Close" this time I want you to select "Maximize" this should stretch the window to cover the viewable screen bringing the close box into view.

If you still don't get your desired results please post back hear so I may help you further

DELETED MY SYSTEM FILE FROM C DRIVE

hi !

if you know how to slave your Hard Disk, try to slave it on other PC with the same windows OS you have. Then the file that you accidentally deleted to your Hard disk, OR you may clone all the System file in the Windows folder " C:\ WINDOWS ". in that way your OS will run back to it's normal process.

Quantum DLT8000 Drivers not installing properly Something strange going on with the installation of the drivers on my DLT8000. I'm able to use the xTalk program to run tests and stuff on the tape drive from windows so I know it's working properly. However, this is what the device manager says: Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) and it shows the little red exclamation point. Getting to this spot was difficult because of some issue with the INF file which (I guess) I was able to fix via this blog post: http://www.loosewireblog.com/2006/07/how_to_fix_a_br.html I added the [ClassInstall32] to the very end of the INF file that came with the downloaded drivers from the Quantum website. I was able to determine that the key name for this type of device is: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{6D807884-7D21-11CF-801C-08002BE10318} and sure enough, there is a subkey 0000 which contains all the info about my tape drive. This is what my setupapi.log file is showing: #-199 Executing "C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe" with command line: rundll32.exe newdev.dll,ClientSideInstall \\.\pipe\PNP_Device_Install_Pipe_0.{A270A48C-25F4-4B08-8975-00D9D0356FF2} #I060 Set selected driver. #-019 Searching for hardware ID(s): scsi\sequentialquantum_dlt8000_________0257,scsi\sequentialquantum_dlt8000_________,scsi\sequentialquantum_,scsi\quantum_dlt8000_________0,quantum_dlt8000_________0 #-018 Searching for compatible ID(s): scsi\sequential,scsi\raw #-166 Device install function: DIF_SELECTBESTCOMPATDRV. #W059 Selecting best compatible driver failed.
