Problem for Logitech Webcam

Logitech webcam comm. MP s5500 Can not use( HELP)

I have a logitech web cam comm.MP S 5500 got 3 weeks ago can see self
but no one else Yahoo messenger module is 8.0. I downloaded 11.8 Logitech and yahoo suggested.this, not a comp. geek here, What is my problem and how do I fix it? Have sent e-mail's to logitech and not solved I have AT&T ,Really need help here trying last 3 weeks for answers. NONE!
Can you or someone help me my e-mail is italiano4u@att.net
product name is Logitech QuickCam Communicate MP 1.3MP Do I need to change my module? I don't know so frustrated here, "Help"!!!
Please reply soon with mail, or suggest something can not use audio either.Want to use and see my family. If need more info. contact me.

Reinstall teh webcam software first.

- Start reinstalling the software using the disk provided with the webcam.

Start software installation with webcam USB cable unplugged.

This alone probably wont solve the problem.

Use webcam software to test webcam (not yahoo) .

If webcam does not work on webcam Logitech software, then check audio and camera settings in control panel.
If there is no sound check that mic is not muted in audio setting in control panel.

If camera instead works well on Logitech software but does not work in Yahoo, then check yahoo messenger settings, there is on setting to set the default device, ensure your camera is set , both for picture and for audio.

Have you already instaled the software/driver that came with your Camera?

You mean to say that you are unable to use the webcam in yahoo messenger? Are you on Vista or XP?

Yahoo! Messenger might have the wrong camera selected. Follow the steps below to change your camera source.

Click "Messenger"
Click "My Webcam.
Click "Messenger" again.
Select "Preferences."
Click "Webcam."
Click "Camera Source."
Click the pull-down menu and select the camera you want to use.
Click "OK."

If that doesn't work, your friend might have one of the same problems with the camera on his or her end. They should try the same steps to see if that helps.
