sorry, I mean the heat in the oven after use prevent the cook top (gas one) from being ignited. It looks like the gas pipe is blocked but when the oven is cold it is back to normal.

Heat expansion??? talking about the heat exhausting from the oven cavity affecting the lighting of the rear burners??? thats a pretty commmon issue, yo can try putting on the exhaust fan above your oven, and if that s not available id try calling the manufacture for a possible fix, i know some offer deflector kits or extensions for the exaust to compensate for this issue.

The gas for the oven will not go on when the knob is turned and there is no gas to keep the pilot light for the oven on.

The ADJ 30 doesn't have an oven. There are 5 top burners and an adjustable underbroiler. The underbroiler used the heat from the top burners to heat the underbroiler. Is it possible that the broiler is sitting on top of some kind of oven?

My ge range has quit working. First the stove top (coils) failed to heat up (all at once); then about a week later the broiler coil failed to heat up shortly followed by the entire oven. The 'on' light...

The stove top is internally wired separately from the oven. Check that you don't have a faulty circuit breaker in your breaker panel. The oven is 240V which has two breakers ganged together. If only one side trips you can loose power to the heating elements but still have power to the control board (to light up ON).

On my Hotpoint RB787 range, how can I prevent my broiler element from being on any time the oven has been turned on?

There is no adjustment. When set to bake, BOTH elements are supposed to heat. On broil, only the top heats. To answer your question, you can't..........

Oven and lights stopped working

is it the indicator lights at the top or just everything in the oven that is not working??

If it is just the light in the oven and the oven not heating then you are having a problem with your control board.

Top burners often wont light if oven is already lit

I have fix that problem before, the oven heat is soficating the top burners, you will have to adjust top burners with the oven on, so that they will light by them selfs.Or put a shield under the cook top section on the back, so that the heat will not come to the burners where they get the oxigen.

JGBC20BEHCT OVEN PROBLEM

can you hear a hissing sound? if your element isnt working it will need to be replaced as a saftey measure most ovens will not "pass gass" without a working element to prevent explosions, try wiggling the connnections to the element and make sure everything is tight and see if it will heat
