Question about Samsung CLP-300N Laser Printer

Samsung CLP 300 - Drivers keep disabling

I have installed this printer as a network printer for three home computers. Following installation, it all works fine for all three computers. However when the printer and computers are turned off for more than a few hours, any attempt to print results in a pop-up message saying the printer is not connected to the network. Reloading the drivers solves this problem (until the next time) but this approach is very time consuming and fiddly.

Any clues as to what is happening here?

The printer is probably not getting the same IP address every time. Set a static IP address outside of the range being used for DHCP addressing. If the entire range is set for DHCP, you will need to adjust that range so the printer's IP is no longer in it.

My Samsung CLP-300 printer is not recognizd by my MacBook. USB connected printer is not seen on the available printer list.

Hi,

Am not that familiar with Mac OS but have you installed the necessary drivers. The Samsung CLP-300 might not be recognized by you MacBook because the necessary software/drivers are not there. Perhaps you need to run the CD that came with the printer. In the absence of that you can download a copy here, install and follow on screen instructions.

Other than that, am afraid you have to seek the assistance of more knowledgeable friends.

Hope that this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things worked out.

Good luck and kind regards.

In response to aproblem involving a samsung printer you suggested using the smart panel utility on my computer - Sorry - pretty inept with computers - what is that utility and how do I acess it thanks

When you installed the Samsung CLP-300 printer software, a utility called Smart Panel should have been installed too - this shows the current status of the printer plus gives access to a Troubleshooting Guide and settings for both the Printer and the Driver as shown in the image below:

I've lost the pinter installation cd and I want to install my printer in a new pc. the printer model is: CLP-300

Go to this link

http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads/CLP-300

Here are all the things you'll need with your Samsung. Note that you have tabs for documentation, drivers and firmware. so, to get your driver pick the Drivers Tab, and select the driver that closest describes your system (or just get the 20megabyte universal driver)

If this was helpful and informative please vote with a Thumb Up. thank you.

configure the setting manually by putting the printers IP address....install the driver first

verify your printers support site and download the updated/new drivers and patches need to install.
