Question about NEC DTU 8-1 Corded Phone
We're having problems with 4 phones. When we talk to callers on the speakerphone they can hear us, but we cannot hear them. It doesn't seem to be a volume issue. Is there another setting we should look at? It seems odd that 4 would be broken in the same way. Thanks!
Try pressing the Feature button and dialing the digit 1. This will turn the microphone on and the MIC lite should turn red. Don't lift the handset or press Speaker, just press Feature 1. This will also turn the MIC off if you want it disabled again.

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Tips for a great answer:
You can change settings on your speakerphone. To do
this, turn off your speakerphone, then press and hold the call button and move the power switch to the "e" position
until you hear "welcome to setup".
Follow the voice prompts to change settings for:
• Enable/disable voice prompts
• Enable/disable Name/Number Caller ID feature
• Size of favorite contact list (10 or 25)
