How ? http://www.fixya.com/support/t1182117-bosch_shu5314_heat_water How was the Asker able to re-rate your solution? Is there a trick to it or something? I thought once you got a T4T that was it..

But how do you get back to the user? And Ekse, you shouldn't have added my comment word for word - it looks a bit silly now, when YOU post "The part indicated by Ekse is a Flow-through water heater assembly, which may also work." hehe

Not to worry mate, I won't. (Have I ever done that in the past?) I could have posted the query in lounge, why did I chose to send "Ask Me" to you? And I know what you mean about the lounge..its really turning into a wrestling ring these days :(

BTW, I WAS surprised by your first response, lol..but then you came back to reply - that was good. And the part you gave was not wrong, just , unmm..different :)

    And thanks.....again :)

You know what, Ekse..I've got those emails like a million times, but never bothered to read them fully!

    Once I reach "
Thank you for providing a solution to xxxx-xxx Premium Problem.

At this time, xxx has chosen not to accept your solution, and has requested additional
    assistance from other Premium Experts."
    I simply delete the email.

Thanks for pointing that out. Maybe now I can increase a few Fixyas on premiums. Seems like i can never get a chat these days, so I have to be happy with answering premiums, LOL

    Yeah it does.

    Anyway dude

    ---------------------------------------

Thank you for providing a solution to stetzer's -
Bosch shu5314 won't heat the water. Premium Problem.

    At this time,
stetzer has chosen not to accept your solution, and has requested additional
    assistance from other Premium Experts.

    You can read stetzer's comments
about your solution in the problem
    thread or in your Profile
    page, under "My Premium Solutions".

    We strongly recommend that you
review your original solution and add Comments if you feel you can offer
    additional assistance.
If your Comments result in stetzer accepting your
solution, your account will be credited with earnings.

It went back to the customer becouse I added a comment, and then he happened to add a comment so the problem was hidden from public view and my solution was reshown.

if he / she wouldn't have commented I might not have gotten back to the view right away. but I would have gotten there eventually I suppose. --- this is something I know from the premium I paid for myself, to test..

Its the same its always been mate.. all that bulldog in the lounge just confuses everyone.

Also if you could druid, don't feature this in the lounge, I don't really care to hear bulldog from other experts about my solution, it wasn't that great of a solution you know. Wrong part and everything.. eh..

    Thank you :-)

  • Ekse Nov 09, 2008

The part about we strongly recommend was supposed to be Bold

Seems Bold doesn't work with Google browser..

  • Ekse Nov 09, 2008

    All good then. >)

  • Ekse Nov 09, 2008

Oh yeah.. the chats.. some freaks going at them lighting speed you can't even get the page open and even if it loaded in 1 sec it would still say its taken by another expert. Hope the mess is cleaned on monday and we all could get a chat or two.

No prob. I've been focusin on the premiums for a month or two, very difficult to get chats, but lately it became easyer, but now the banned abusers are back again.

  • Ekse Nov 09, 2008
  • Ekse Nov 09, 2008

Yeah, and yeah I know I think you said that earlyer.

Yeah it was a premium, Ginko went in a hurry you can see he messed up with words.

  • Ekse Nov 12, 2008

well aren't you MR needy today

    http://www.fixya.com/support/t1239142-lo...

I'll bet you won't get accepted due to all those comments.. it somehow hides your solution when you do that, untill the user reposts.

  • Ekse Nov 12, 2008

Seems, the less comments you add the better chances to get accepted unless you get tft then adding comments might help.

Gnite im going in early tonight.

  • Ekse Nov 12, 2008

You know, Unless you get into premium yourself, alone, its going to be a mess. ok im out now->

  • Ekse Nov 12, 2008

just tired noting special - noting coming up. Seems fixya is on a downfall right now. or then someone is stealing the chat sessions.

Hi, I have a Bosch tf 400 ng 1tr, about 7 years old, just today it started producing only 1/2 the heat. Any suggestions ( I have gas experience on cookers and stoves) so I should be able to fix if I'm...

You ask for free nudge:
I have links for resourceful do-it-yourselfer since tankless is large and developing field that can take years of study.
For example tankless are prone to lime build-up and must be de-limed each year. Search utube for 'delime tankless' to help restore efficiency.

Best place to start is troubleshoot section in your product manual.

1) BOSCH website is easy to navigate:

Will not stay lit.

You posted under Bosch tankless water heater.
Fixya is ready to assist resourceful do-it-yourselfer, so read information below, and if you are unable to determine what problem is, post another question saying what you've done so far, or contact service technician and when technician arrives, ask that person tricks and tips for maintaining your tankless water heater.

1) Best place to start is troubleshoot section of manual.
Bosch manuals:
http://www.boschhotwater.com/HelpfulResources/BrochuresManuals/tabid/354/Default.aspx

2) Open pdf of typical manual: troubleshoot section page 33.

Have Error code FO, no hot water. Press reset and water gets warm for few seconds then goes off again.

1) BOSCH website shows error codes.
FO does not appear:
http://www.boschhotwater.com/HelpfulResources/TechnicalSupport/BoschAquaStarModels/2400ESTechSupport/Troubleshooting/tabid/1295/Default.aspx

2) I do not see FO error code listed on Internet search
Other FO questions at fixya seem to have no answer:
http://www.fixya.com/tags/error_f0_bosch

3) At this point, I would suggest calling a service technician.
While waiting for service, read manual cover to cover several times.

4) Your manual is valuable resource, and shows the word 'maintenance' and 'troubleshoot' frequently.
Tankless are maintenance heavy, and should be de-limed each year.
U-tube search "delime tankless water heater."

5) Also explore Bosch website for your manual and other valuable information.

6) When service tech arrives, ask that person for tips and tricks about your unit that will help you maintain your water heater.

7) All costs are energy. Install DIY tank-type gas water heater and avoid the whole headache.

How are answered ranked? I see that some answers get more thumbs up than others but are still buried deep down. How does fixya sort the answers order?

Hi fixyamaster,The solutions that receive the most Thumbs Up are usually at the top. However, since the asker's vote is weighted proportionally higher in the displayed rating, a question that has actually received many Thumbs Ups from other users will have a lower displayed rating if the asker gave it a low vote. See this Tip of mine for more details on our rating system: How FixYa's Ratings Work Please feel free to contact our Support Team directly at: http://www.fixya.com/contact
