You can use the deck without a remote, the only thing is you cant go into the system without the codes. there is a sequence code you must enter to disable it. there are a couple of videos on youtube but none for the uv7i. trust me, i 've been there on and off since the summertime. i am not sure if the sequence works due to me not hooking it up to external monitors but you can disable the blue screen with a on/off switch...only problem is, you'll have to do it everytime you turn your car on. here's what you do....
buy a on/off switch(radio shack $3)
hook the pink wire to one part of the switch-the other to the negative ground
put a dvd in(from what i hear, it must be store brought), wait unntil the blue screen comes up
turn the switch off...wait two seconds/turn on...wait two seconds/turn off...wait two seconds and turn back on. the blue screen is gone and video is on. ifyou still need the diagram, i'll scan mine for you.

Make sure that the speaker wiring is correctly connected. Please see the instruction manual that would have come with the Pioneer deck for correct wiring instructions first. Check that first and let me know..

IS SONY SPEAKER VGP SP1 INPUT CONNECTION DIFFERENT FROM VGP SP2 SPEAKER CONNECTION

There may be many different power supplies that will work for your speaker system, but they must comply with the following:
1. The output voltage of the power supply should be correct as what the speaker system requires. (seems like 12 V in your case)
2. The specified maximum current output of the power supply should always be a higher value than the Amperage spec of the speaker system.
3. The output wires or pins of the plug on the power supply should correspond to the (+) and (-) on the power input of the speaker system.

A multimeter will come in handy to determine a power supply's output voltage and polarity.

Hi there, I bought a 2007 electra glide fairing w / harmon kardon radio . Which wires on the 23 pin harness do i use for power, ground, & speakers. I have a 99 Kawasaki Nomad 1500 that i installed...

If it is the basic radio then here are the wiring pins for it:

RT FT Speaker - Pin 18
RT FT Speaker + Pin 1
LFT FT Speaker + Pin 16
LFT RR Speaker - Pin 17

Power and Neg pins are Battery Pin 10, Ground Pin 11

Ignition Pin 12

Another Power & Neg pins are Battery Pin 19, Battery Pin 20

These are the Pin Connectors for the stereo.

I have just taken out my factory fitted stereo in my mondeo and have tried to fit another head unit but there is no sound coming out of the speakers

you have a factory amp, you need a aftermarket deck harness, it will plug into your factory deck wiring and then plug into your after market deck, your speakers will then work

Need pinout for Alpine CDA-7940 head unit

facing the back of the 7940 the top left corner is pin 16 the top right corner is pin 9. The bottom left is pin 8 and the bottom right is pin 1. Only a few of the 16 pins are used due to this unit only having pre-outs, no internal amplifier on this unit. Pin 1 red (ignition), Pin 2 pink/black (interrupt), Pin 3 orange (Illumination), Pin 8 black (ground), Pin 9 blue (power antenna), Pin 10 blue/white (remote turn on), Pin 16 yellow (battery).

1992 BMW Audio problems

my first suspect would be the harness adapter, if your sound was working ok before fitting the the new decks:take the part number of the adapter and check it again even if you have to check it on line with the manafactures to see it is compatable with your new decks/and your car chassis number.adrian
