Hi,
My unit will play a little bit then stops and says protection and then good-bye.

Please help!!

Hi,
I unpluged all speaker wires but I get the same (protected) but it will play a CD. Now it will not stay on long enough for me to get the DVD out. Hello and then Protection and then good-bye.

It seems the unit has a thermal overload issue. It could just be an adjustment, or a defective part is going bad. Also try and check all the speaker wireing for pinches or shorts. Also have the speakers checked as maybe one is going bad and overloading the output stage. If you do all these things and it is still shutting down then you have no choice then to have it tested on a bench at a repair shop or replacing it. Good Luck
