SOURCE: John Deere LA175 lawn tractor front wheel bushings

Remove the tire and wheel from the spindle. Take a long punch or similar item and reach in the center of the wheel hub where the spindle goes. Locate the space in between the inner and outer bushing and tap the edge of the old bushing until it comes out. Now go in from the other side and do the same with the other bushing. This one will be a little easier to do since you don't have to hunt for the center space. Put the new bushings back in the same way just be sure you drive them in STRAIGHT

Most are not adjustable, however I have heard of replacing the bushings on the knuckle, however if it is worst than that, it is possible to heat and bend the spindle. However you do take the chance if damaging it.

John Deere L130

I have not worked on these lawn mowers but there is plenty of posts on different lawn mower sites on how to rebuild the John Deere L1xx series transmissions. I would suggest have a read of this site. It also mentions the parts required and the cost. I understand these lawn movers use the K46 transmission system.

There's a gear on the end of the steering column that's broken or the roll pin used to hold it on is sheared.

My L130 will not turn right.

you will need to change the steering gear , and the steering pinion and its not a bad idea to change the gear pivots (2) and also the bottom steering wheel shaft bushing. they sell a complete kit on ebay that has it all in one nice n tidy kit.> http://www.ebay.com/itm/JOHN-DEERE-STEERING-GEAR-REPAIR-KIT-102-135-LA120-LA155-/261112192757?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3ccb7fdef5

dont let the high price full you, just the pinion $40 and the steering gear $32 is $72 and you get both and the $10 bushings x2 plus for the same price!!
