I want to find out appropriate sound drivers for my computer and install them. Existing drivers seems to be not suiting my hardware configuration and i can not play any sound.

Hi. I think the driver taht your looking is on the either on the driver disc that has been provided to you with your machine or you go to the manufactures website of your laptop and from there you could just type the model of your laptop and it will provide with the latest drivers for your machine. Like for example you have a Dell computer then you should go to Dell support website where you can dowload every drivers that you need for your laptop. Hope This helps

My computer has no sound and i don' know how to put sound back on to my computer

Probably a driver problem. Go to device manager and then sound devices and update your sound drivers...Or it could be a problem if the sound card is intergrated. You ca purchsed a pci sound card and fix it. You might want to check the bios and make sure your sound is enabled,,Hope this helps,,,,Darren

Acer aspire Tick tock sound

Hi,
sounds like the HDD acessing, try removing the drive. boot the computer up without it in.
and boot into the bios usually F2 del Or esc at bootup.
Don,t do anything in the bios setup. just listen to see if the sounds still there.
if it,s not there, you could assume it,s the hard-drive.

if this solution solves your problem, please rate as Fixya.

Many thanks for using fixya s free Forums.

Hi, Alex,

I think you may have deleted your audio file driver on your laptop the only way to get your sound back is to re-install your audio driver for your laptop as the sound card on your laptop is ok you can find sound card drivers on the internet if you don`t have the drivers for your sound card
