    KDC-MP728 CD Player

thanks, i found the reset button. However, the cd deck still won't load. The screen reads loading but spits it back out after a few seconds. Sounds like the motor is taking it in and running properly, but not reading. I bought it used. Worked fine for a few month or so, and just somehow stop loading cd. Radio and all works fine. Any suggestions? thanks again.

Right next to the #6 preset button you will see a tiny hole. That is your reset button. Use the tip of an ink pen or something else as small and sturdy as an ink pen tip. Just push it in for about 2 or 3 seconds and your unit will reset back to factory default settings. Please be aware that this will also clear all the preset radio stations and the clock. So you will need to input those again.

A reset may or may not help with your disc loading problem. If you could tell me more detail about the problem I may be able to help. Do the motors run when you put a disc in to be loaded and it just doesn't take it in? When you put a disc in to be laoded, do you hear nothing, no motor running or anything? Or does the display just not move down to the proper place so you can load a disc?

There can be many reasons why a CD player won't load a disc, but the only way to have even a small chance at guessing would be with more detail. It normally takes the ability to look at a unit to determain what is causing it's failure. There is no substitute for having your eyes on it to see what it does and to check the things that need to be checked. Electronic troubleshooting is difficult at best when it is done over the internet without the unit in front of you. I hope you will be patient and bare with me while we figure out your problem, and please do not give me a bad rating without the opportunity to communicate back with you if needed.

I have over 18 years experience repairing Kenwood radios at an authorized Kenwood service center, so I don't think you could find any better help, but it may take a little work on both our parts.

Hi, I recently purchased a new Stereo deck and I like to remove the old Alpine CDE-7827 deck. My car is a 1995 Ford Thunderbird.

The original wires in the 95' thunderbirds are a pain, trying to figure out how to take out factory stereo and replace with aftermarket Sony cd player, have no clue because the wires don't match up, some do and they will load and unload discs but won't power up any suggestions...?!?

Won't turn on, is it in protection mode?

Is the immobilzor/ alarm light actuated? try resetting the deck, via the small pin head reset button located on the plate when deck is open.

Cd won t eject from 2006 Ford Focus mp3 player Get eject error message How can I safely remove CD''

HI, either the deck assembly is jammed or, the load motor has failed. In this case, you will need to disassemble the entire set in order to retrieve this CD.

The actual loading deck(the part where the CD is located), is surrounded by a metal housing. the gear assembly is probably locked, due to this jam or failed load motor. This will also require a set of precision tools as well. if you find this a bit overwhelming, i suggest taking this unit to a local automotive audio shop. they can dissemble it and, retrieve the CD for a small price.

The "Reset" button on Model# KRC-207S is located between the"ATT" (attenuator) and the "1" button. It is a tiny hole. Insert the end of a pen or pencil into the hole and hold for a few seconds and the unit will reset itself. Hope this helps...
