Problem for Cuisinart DGB-300 Coffee Maker
Automatic Grind not working
I have a Cuisinart DGB-300 Grind and Brew Coffeemaker. The automatic grind is not working. I have follwed the steps in the manual. It doesn't make any noise as if attempting to grind. The grind processed is by-passed going straight into the brew mode.

- We have the same problem with our grinder. No noise, No grinding. Just straight to brewing. Makes a mean cup of hot water though. There was nothing in our manual on how to troubleshoot this problem so we came straight to you. My sister-in-law is about to buy a grinder so hope you come up with a solution quickly as that is exactly why we bought this particular machine, so we would not have to have a separate grinder sitting around.- GuestDec 18, 2007
- Grind motor will NOT turn. It seems to be locked or "frozen". How doI remove it?

My grinder was not working properly, because the blade was not rotating freely. So we carefully chipped away some caked on coffee residue. Then it worked for awhile, but started to sound weird and only partially grind the coffee. So we applied a small amount of vegetable oil to the blade and let it seep down a little, and that was very succcessful! Just needed a lube job!
