Is the computer you're referring to a laptop or a desktop?

If it is a laptop, what is the model of it? If it is a desktop, what is the model of the wireless adapter you have installed to it?

If you are running vista, there should be a drop down menu that should allow you to turn it on or off. If not, go into internet settings. You should find a link to set up a connection there. If it doesn't run a diagnostic.

Try restarting your computer. If this doesn't work try using the reset button on your router and set up your router again by connecting your router to your computer using an ethernet cable.

Cant sign in to wireless password not accepted

Try to connect your computer with an ethernet cable with the router
Open the router interface using the default gateway that your computer is receiving
Under Wireless, select security and check the security mode and check the compatibility with your operating system.
Remove all preferred wireless networks from computer
If the compatibility is appropriate, and if security key is exact(case sensitive), this is sure to work

I am having WP54G wireless access point which is not showing sight survey signal. What i have to do anything software update is their.

On a computer that is plugged into the router,Open internet explorer and type when the login box opens Type Admin in user and Admin in password,When router page open,Click wire tab and turn on wireless radio,It will say the router is now accepting connections,With the computer you are trying to get wireless on,Search for wireless signal,When it find the signal click connect,Go back to the router page and Click Save. You can also set up your security while in the router page but everything you put in must be the same that you later use on the wireless computer to connect. For example if you set the security to WEP and the password to 12345,when you try to connect it will ask for the WEP key and you will need to enter the 12345

Please take time to rate this fixya.

I tried to secure my router but had trouble doing so, I cannot connect to the internet now

i assume that you have tried to secure your router using a wireless computer. if so, there's a possibilty that you have sucred your router successfully and you need to connect you computer again to the wireless signal using your password. if you can't remember your wireless password or if the password you are typing is not being accepted, you need to hardwire a computer to the router to double check the wireless settings that were enabled on the router. once you have verified all your wireless settings, connect the computer wirelessly and enter the correct wireless password/network key and check if you'll get internet connection again

hope this'll help you but if not just indicate the exact brand and model of your router and your wireless adapter.
