It sounds like you are saying you have a Beta version of the operating system. If that is the case, you are correct in assuming it's causing the problem. I would bypass purchasing Vista and go buy a new version of Windows 7 which is much more stable and robust.

I want to change windows XP to Vista, but how ??without using cd

If you want to change Windows XP to Vista you should check out the different Vista versions that Microsoft offers, here is a link to the different versions of VIsta that you can get and the upgrade paths you need to take - http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-vista/get/upgrade-your-pc.aspx. You wont need the Windows XP installation disk to upgrade to Vista. Let me know if you need any more assistance.

Need to purchase

yes of course u can change just follow these methods
First, you need to install a Spanish keyboard, and turn on the key combo to
switch.

Go to Control Panel, Clock Language and Region.

Then click on "Change Keyboard or other Input method". The Regional and
Language Options dialogue will appear.

Click on the Keyboards and Languages tab. The Text Services and Input
Languages dialogue will appear.

Under Installed Services, press the Add button, and select an appropriate
Spanish keyboard (eg Spain, Mexico, US etc).

Press Ok to add the selected Keyboard.

Now click the Advanced Key Settings tab, of the Text Services and Input
Languages dialogue. Select a key combination, to alternate between English
and Spanish keyboards (Left-Alt, Shift, by default)

Press Ok to accept changes and dismiss the dialogue.

Your Spanish keyboard should now be ready to use, once you press the
Alt-Shift combo.
this is just the display language settings for full conversion you cannot do u have to buy a spanish version or ask your laptop assembler to put spanish version of vista hope so your problem solves with this solution

Its a tough question to help out with, without having seen the computer physically... Mabe if it is an older computer its sometimes hard to get support for. I did some research and the best i can do for you right now is give you the sony vaio direct support customer service number for sony vaio laptops. Mabe if you call them they can help you out further.

Direct Sony vaio Laptop customer support number:

In English: 1-888-476-6972

In Spanish: 1-888-476-6972 - Select the option for Spanish support

karplandius, Your laptop was made for VISTA. There are no drivers on the Sony website. What I would do is contact Sony and see if any VISTA drivers will work with your laptop.

You can contact them here:

Please let me know how you make out!!
Thanks
