I turn my laptop on and the screen will not turn on and when i plug it in to charge the light cames on to say its pluged in and the light that says its charging is only on for about 10 seconds.

Sounds like you have a loose or bad cable

take out the battery and unpluge to cord from wall. put battery back in, then pluge it to wall outlet. turn computer on.

try to remove the battery from laptop, give it a minute or two and the put the battery back in

It looks as if your battery needs to be charged. First charge should lasts long enough. Aproximately at least 6-8 hours. Then try to use it. I think it will work.

True turning it on while pluged in but without the battery in. If it works its your battery if not it is you charger or laptop, my bet is on the charger they have a tendancy to go out.

Replace your AC adapter.

It appears your battery is flat. Check the power adapter with a multi-meter, the voltage on the connector plug should be slightly higher that the voltage that is printed on the label on the bottom of the adapter.
If the adapter is OK then plug it into the laptop and wriggle the connector and check the charge light on the laptop. If this light does not light up or flashes as you wriggle the connector, then you have a faulty connector. This can be repaired by a computer techo.

yes the graphics chip is bad its also made in to the motherboard we repair these every day the mother board are listed on ebay you can buy a whole working bottom for less then 70 bucks this is one of the few problem this model laptop seams to have.they are dependable normally. i have tons of parts for these laptops.

sound like the power connection may have broken therefore not allowing the unit to switch on or charge.Do any lights flicker when you plug it in?
