Question about Microsoft Windows XP Professional With Servise Pack 2 (e8503040) for PC
I forgot my password on my dell computer. I cannot log into windows at all. soon as the computer comes up for a password i cannot o any further because i do not remember the password.
To reset your password numerous applications are able to do just that. the only drawback is if EFS (encrypted file system) has been enabled on the xp system in question, if it has been unless you know the origional password the files that have been encrypted will remain unreadable.
one of the many free apps out there can be downloaded from the link below;
this particular one is an iso image that should be burnt onto a cd. You reboot your computer making sure that boot from cd is permitted. Then follow the prompts to reset your password.
Note from my own experience: You tend to have more sucess when changing the administrator password, if you leave it blank ie no password entered, then from the operating system log on as the administrator then change the administrator password to something appropirate. of course once this has been done you then change the password of the account in question (again from the operating system) to something that you remember.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
