I got a new MACBOOK PRO & EPSON RX 595 printer last week. Installed the epson software and now every time I start up the laptop the Epson print monitor pops up. I have to use force Quit to get rid of it .
What's going on How do I stop the popup??
Hello I think I might have a way to solve this problem. I had a similar issue, and it was caused by having a file in the print queue that would not print.
Open Print and Fax Preference, then open the Print Queue button. Highlight any files in the queue and delete them.

Uninstall the driver. You can find it in control panel --> add or remove program --> epson print driver after uninstall turn off your printer and turn back on, windows will notify a new hardware and automatically install for the driver just insert the print driver cd.

If you used the original driver software that came with your printer, it probably is not compatible with Snow Leopard. Go here: http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&oid=79609&prodoid=63066043&infoType=Downloads&platform=Macintosh
Click the download link and save the file to your desktop, then run the installer. This should load the most recent driver. Then go to System Preferences > Print & Fax, if your printer is not listed, click the + to add it. Hope that helps.
mariann346i am having the same problem with my EPSON RX 595 printer. i can not print in black and white, it always prints in green. i also notice something els, even after refilling my six cartridges and only trying to print in black and white, my yellow ink is running out just as fast as my black so i guess they are somehow mixing together. you should check to make sure your yellow isn`t doing the same.
Please follow the procedure your printer has which forces it printer to clean the print heads.
I have experience of other epson stylus models. I have previously spoken to epson about this exact problem. Repeating the head cleaning process a minimum 5 times cleared the problem.
Running head clean multiple times in succession builds up pressure in the print heads - causing (usually new) cartridges to work correctly.
But you install the software precisley as instructed?
Remove all Epson software from the computer.
Do a disk and registry clean.
Come off line and disable the A/V software.
Disconnect the printer
Now reinstall from the disc and do exactly as the prompts.
Epson is very fussy in installing .
