Hi, On thing you can try. Go into system settings and see if you can change the refresh cycle on the screen. Put it to a higher setting and click ok and exit out. Hope this work for you.

SOURCE: laptop screen constantly flickers and whites out

Your Bulb is DUE, you need to change it, Don't do it your self contains mercury. Your LCD is good IF you do not have bad PIXELS. This white and pink lines shows as pixel problem but it migth also short on LCD, if you placed something heavy on Laptop. You may remove and sent the LCD for repair or all laptop to tech.

How do I stop screen flickering
If this occurs within a specific application, it probably has to do with the fact that the application wasn't programmed for double buffering. If your screen is constantly flickering no matter what, it could be bad video drivers. Try updating them. If that fails, it's probably either bad hardware. Try a different video card. If it still persists, it's a bad monitor.

Is the line flickering or constant ? If it is just a constant line then the cable from the lcd to the motherboard is bad/loose. If it flicker on and off then it might be bad motherboard. In any case if the lcd have no visual crack, this problem should be covered under your warrenty.

Help? My screen flickers constantly and is driving me bananas! When I adjust it to certain angle, it will stop for a bit, but then the next time I open it to use it....same deal. Everytime I'm trying to...
sounds like your screen may be earthing out some were.
iam sure if you press on the sides of the screen it stops.
make sure all the screws are fitting ok around the screen.tighten them up if thay need it,
somthing is lose some were on your screen.
one other thing it could be is what thay call the inverter that sits behind the screen is faulty.

Screen flicker when connected to PC through HDMI
the flicker will be the pc you have a low voltage on the hdmi board were by the voltage is up and down causing the flicker. could be a low volt on the psu or in the graphics card itself. graphics cards use a lot of power. could just need removing and given a good clean.

Hi Kevin,
My daughter has the same problem with her laptop, do you find that when you move the screen slowly back and forth it either stops or gets worse ?
You will need to take your laptop in to an HP dealer and let them have a look at it.

The screen flickers periodically without any reason. If i giggle the screen or pull the screen down the up it staops.
Hi

The flickering happens because the flex of your laptop is getting weak.

The flex connects the screen of a laptop to the motherboard it is through it that data is passed to the screen.

It is found in all laptops and the more you open and close the laptop,it gets weaker and weaker.

The best thing to do to stop the flickering is to change the flex.You can also loose the laptop,remove the flex and fix it back properly but that may not stop the flickering permanently.

Note;if you cant loose the laptop yourself please get an expert to do it for you

When I turn my computer on the monitor constantly flickers on and off. After about an hour this stops the the screen goes black about five times, but after that it works fine?
You need to download the latest graphices drivers and get the update for the BIOS.
If the screen flickers in the BIOS screen as well that means the sys has to be repaired for the screen.

Hp Laptop screen flicker
Hi, i noticed that when I unplugged my HP the screen stopped flickering. I then re-plugged in the power, when to the Nvidia control settings, to PowerMizer, and changed 'ac outlet' to Maximum Power Saving.

Not the world's greatest solution, but hey, working laptop now.
