When I connect my Fuji Finpix S1000 to my Mac it doesn't detect it. I'm sure I have the USB hooked up right. Could it be I need to the camera set to a certain mode to transfer the pictures? Help, please!!!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

My imac firewire port in not detecting my firewire sound card

Verify support and download drivers from your sound card manufacturer's website.
Open up Mac System Profiler by clicking the Apple in the top left, then about this mac, then go in to more information. Connect the firewire sound card and see if it becomes detected but is simply unknown. This will be a sure fire way of determining problem is with lack of drivers.

I have a fujifilm finepix S1000fd and it says Card Error with all my sd cards ( They work fine in my wifes Camera)

Hi Tim,
Believe it or not, it is not a good idea to transfer cards between cameras, as each brand or even model, has its own way to format the card and/or to build the system file on it. So... Have you tried formatting the card from your camera set-up menu? Note that your wife will probably have to do the same if she wants to have her card back. Another thought is to buy one card for yourself and it should work right away, although it is always a good idea to format the card prior to its firs use.
Cheers,
V+

SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player with Mac? Is there any driver to make it compatible with Mac platform? Thank you

NOTE: MAC computers do NOT support MTP modes of USB conectivity in a MP player. A Sansa player in MTP mode when plugged into a MAC computer will NOT be detected or recognized. MAC computers supports Sansa players in MSC mode Sansa players can only be recognized by a MAC if the USB mode on the Sansa player is set to Auto Detect or MSC.
Check in the System Profiler Open System Profiler from the Utilities folder, which is inside the Applications folder. From the Contents column on the left, under the Hardware header, select USB; the panel to the right will show all the USB devices that the computer recognizes. It may not identify them correctly by name, but it should have the right number of devices listed. . Navigate to USB Mode settings. Sansa View - From the Main Menu, select More > Settings/Options > System Settings > USB Mode.
Sansa Fuze and Sansa Clip+ - From the Main Menu, select Settings > System Settings > USB Mode.
Sansa Clip, e200v1 series, e200v2 series and e200R - From the Main Menu, select Settings > USB Mode.
2. Select Auto Detect, MTP or MSC. e200R - PlayforSure is MTP and Rhapsody is MSC
See this tip posted here on this site for a better explanation on the modes - MTP and MSC. Solve your MP3 Player Connection Problem.

How do I connect my Samsung Jet to my Apple Mac running Osx 10.5.8 for using it as a modem for internet connection.

If your Mac has Bluetooth, you can connect to the phone via a bluetooth connection and use it as a modem. You first need a connection profile on the phone that will allow an IP connection (data) to your phone network, either via 3G or GPRS, though the former is potentially faster.

Then you need to Go into system preferences->Network on your Mac and create a Bluetooth connection profile that may need a user name and password to connect to your phone networks data access point.

Then select the IP profile on the phone, turn Bluetooth on. Turn on Bluetooth on the Mac and select the Bluetooth connection profile in Network on the Mac and click on the connect button, it should then connect and away you go

Data cable

Consider getting a card reader instead.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

do u have windows or mac system? if mac,
Although MAC OS is NOT a supported operating system, the Sansa player can still be recognized if the Sansa player is only plugged in MSC mode.

MAC computers do NOT support MTP
A Sansa player in MTP mode when plugged into a MAC computer will NOT be detected or recognized.

MAC computers supports Sansa players in MSC mode
Sansa players can only be recognized by a MAC if the USB mode on the Sansa player is set to Auto Detect or MSC.

I have a question about S1000fd auto mode

Early versions of the S1000fd had the problem you are showing. There is a "firmware upgrade" the addresses the problem. Here is a link to it" http://www.fujifilm.ca/x16655.xml .I have checked the newest S1000's and they are all upgraded at the factory, before they are shipped. Yours is most likely one of the earlier versions.
