Disconect the printer from the power and from the computer...
Remove the paper from the back of the printer that are stuck around the rollers (if any)..
Open the back door of the printer and roll the rollers in upward direction from the back of the printer..
if rollers doesnt move press & hold the power button for 60 seconds when unplugged from the power..
close the door and press & hold the power button for 60 seconds when unplugged from the power..
connect the power cable to the printer and directly to a wall jack and power on the printer--

The printer need reset for this error.
The proper reset code sequence to reset DCP printers without numeric keypad should be as follows:

1. press buttons Set, Menu, Mono Start one by one, followed by up arrow key four times. this should all be done as short a time as possible, around 3 seconds.

2. enter maintenance mode 80 by pressing the up/down arrow key and set key to select numbers 8 and 0

3. press up arrow key several times to get to the Purge item

4. enter 2, 7, 8 and 3 using arrow/set keys to reset the counter

5. press Stop/Exit key to go to root of maintenance mode

6. enter 9,9 to exit maintenance mode

plz do rate solution if helped

My zebra TLP2844Z can not print because after fiew moments turn on the printer the light button becomes red. How to solv that?

A constant red light usually means the printer is out of ribbon or labels. It may just not recognize the size of the label so try a manual calibration to set the size.

1. turn the printer off
2. press and hold down the FEED button while turning on the printer
3. Keep holding down on FEED until the led flashed once, then let go
4. The printer will do an auto-calibration on the label.
When it's done, pressing FEED should advance 1 label. It's then ready to go.

Hope that helps !

It says Service Call Error 00000101 What to do???

00000101

00000101 means Ink Tubes worn out.

This error is returned when the motor exceed a number of service hours, to prevent the risk that ink tubes connected to the motor risk to break, leaking ink and compromising more parts.

The printer must be serviced by Epson.

To temporarily use the printer you can try the reset below:

  1. Turn off the printer
  2. Hold down the three leftmost arrow buttons [left-arrow] [down-arrow] [up-arrow]
  3. Turn on the printer
  4. Release the buttons
  5. A new menu will appear
  6. Press the up/down arrows to get to the "Clear Counters" menu
  7. Press RIGHT
  8. Press the up/down arrows to get the desired reset and reset all counters.

You can see the procedure explained at page 50 of the Service manual.

Scroll down once to language
Hit the right (or left) arrows until you see English

Cartridge slams

One end of the strip has an arrow and says "D-11". That is the left end of the strip. That is where the spring goes.

You begin by hanging the OTHER end of the strip first.
http://i34.tinypic.com/nlv7fc.jpg
It fits over a tab on the right hand endplate. If you look at the printer carriage, the back looks like an upraised hand holding something.

The strip threads thru the 'thumb' from right to left.

The arrow should face down, which will make the "11" face upside down but the D will still look like a D.

On the left is where the spring goes. Here, there is a second tab which only locates the slot for the left side. It doesn't actually fasten the strip, it just passes thru the post. At first this confused me.

aha and your printer is not functioning right now isnt it, or it is still operational, either way that error must be solve or you will never use your printer. this error means that your pump motor is near end about 5% of its life is left. here is the sure solution for your prob. turn off your printer then press the left, down arrow and enter simultaneously then power on the printer. inside initialize the sponge and cleaner then turn off and on your printer. note: you will have to replace your pump cap assy. if it is already poor in cleaning otherwise your printhead will suffer.
