Re: My I-pod nano 2G won't sync!!
Download the latest version of itunes from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ (your music will be saved within the itunes music folder already). Once it has loaded okay close the itunes program. Turn your ipod on and plug it into your computer. This will automatically open up itunes. Reset your ipod within itunes under your ipod settings. Then update your ipod with your chosen library or playlist.

Use the Five Rs to restore the iPod. You will lose the data that is currently on it if you restore but you can always re-sync the data to the iPod.

Which USB ports are you using? I just had this issue on a customer's computer and it turns out that a 5 port USB 2.0 hub they had installed in the pc wasn't functioning properly and so I would get a code 10 on their iPod nano. I plugged it into the onboard USB 1.0 ports and it installed correctly and synched. I would suggest trying other USB ports. If that doesn't work then go to Programs and Features in Control Panel and uninstall all apple products and then reboot and reinstall iTunes.
you can try fomatting it.to do so plug it and open my computer.go to the drive of the mp3 and right click it.in the sub menu click format(to foramt it you have to be administrator)(also be sure backup all of your music, videos, pictures, and anything that you want to save.) when it says disk or drive it means the ipod.go to my computer and look at what letter it is example (D:)
your computer has its own personal i-tunes for your i-pod and all your music is saved to that computer so if you plug your i-pod into someone elses computer it will eighther sync all thier music to your i-pod or it will erase all the music on your i-pod they dont have on thier computer...my sujjestion is to buy a plug in to the wall charger for your i-pod if your barely home to charge it. that way you keep your music yet charge your i-pod to.
