Remote not working

Hi there, I have a problem with my t.v....every since I got cable hooked up I was no longer able to use my remote with the t.v. instead I could only use the remote control my cable provider gave me. I moved the cable box to my room (upstairs)and now I cant change the tv at all. When I try to use my t.v. remote, you can see the channels moving (like it will go 1,2,3,4 etc in the corner of the tv -as if the tv was changing) but the station/channel wont change, just the numbers on the tv. If ANYONE has any clue as to what I can do to fix this problem or have any suggestions can you PLEASE email at suzannemiles38@hotmail. Thank you very much. -Suzanne Miles

Re: Remote not working

Hi Suzanne. What you need to do first is get or have the original RCA remote available. next, go into the menu and do whats called a channel search, but you will need an antenna or cable line attached to the RF input of the TV set, Do whats called an auto search. Let the set complete its cycle. If it found no channels, then there is no input sourch or you have a bad tuner or its assoicitated componets. it should be in the owners manual on how to do this. If you do not have an owners manual, get one here*&brands=RCA%2cGE%2cPROSCAN%2cRECOTON%2cSPIKEMASTER%2cAR%2cJENSEN%2cAMBICO%2cADVENT%2cUNBRANDED&doctypes=IB&categories=ACCESSORIES%2cAUDIO%2cCOMMUNICATION%2cDTVS%2cDVD%2cMULTIMEDIA%2cCOLOR_TV%2cVIDEO&firstdocnum=1 If you need a new remote or original replacement please go to Good Luck please do not forget to rate this thread.

This is 2003 model and does have a hard reset. It will return set to as it was when new in box, on air band on channel three, most likely you did something with remote that changed something.

I am in California and can tell you how to with the set on with the Mitsubishi remote enter the OPTION MENU AND RESET IT.

Need to reset sanyo DP26647 without remote control

I got it to scan and finally have all my channels. I just kept entering menu & hitting down arrow and it just started scanning after about 5 or 6 attempts. Very unscientific but it worked. I have ordered a replacement remote.

I have a new TV Model 47PFL3603D/F7 and am hooked up to comcast digital box and cannot figure out how to get my comcast remote to regulate the volume. I have the set on channel 3 and everything works...

Usually on a universal remote (after programmed) the volume is controlled by pressing the cable button then adjusting the volume. When you turn your tv on by pressing tv power---then flipping through the channels by pressing cable--channel up or down. The remote (in my experience usually only controls the volume while in the cable mode)

Cannot connect a VCR/DVD player to Zenith SY1959Y

you don't need a code for the vcr/dvd combo to work on your tv. You need to make sure you have hooked up the cables correctly. remember that the dvd can be hooked up with the component cabels and the vhs may need to be hooked up thru the tv cable hookup.

Remote no longer works after opening rear of TV

I think blowing air cleaned the TV but Remote Sensor at front of TV got more dusty and now unable to receive Infrared signal of remote. That's my theory and can be confirmed by cleaning of Remote Sensor in TV.

Sanyo tv...something is wrong with the imput on my tv or on the remote. the screen says to check all terminals on back and press the up channel key. when i do this it just scans the channels then returns...

jtrent2- O.k you say your t.v has nothing hooked to it at all, what do normally have hooked to it. Do you normally run coax cable,or rca input. The tv is looking for your source ,hook up your regular source, and see what you get. The tv needs to see a source,of some kind. Try hooking a vcr to the cable connector on the back, play a tape and scan your channels. The tv should pick up the vcr as channel 3 or 4 and lock in. Try this and let me know,I can help you. cooltek Mar,3/08
