Question about Sunbeam 5891 Bread Maker

4 Answers

My Sunbeam 5891 breadmaker keeps shutting off just prior to baking the bread. I unplugged all other appliances and I never can get the breadmaker to complete the kneeling cycle prior to shutting off. I have tried various cycles, Basic, Express and Quick and everytime I cannot bake bread. I am tired of wasting time and all my ingredients. Help! The machine simply shuts off.

Sir,

U enable the Auto-shut off program. disable the auto-shut off. it will be worked. Or set the delayed time bake on. If these instructions don't work for your range, you need an owners manual. The correct instructions are in the owners manual.

To Program Oven for a Delayed Start Time and to Shut-Off Automatically (Delayed Start Bake):
1. Be sure that the clock shows the correct time of day.
2. Place the food in the oven.
3. Press Bake. " 350 ° " appears in the display.
4. Within 5 seconds, press the arrow up or arrow down. The display will show "350°F (177°C)." By holding the arrow up or arrow down, the temperature can then be adjusted in 5°F increments (1°C if the control is set to display Celsius).
5. Press Cook Time. "0:00" will flash in the display (HR:MIN).
6. Press the arrow up or arrow down until the desired baking time appears.
7. Press Delay Start. The earliest possible start time will appear in the display.
8. Press the arrow up or arrow down until the desired start time appears in the display.
9. Once the controls are set, the control calculates the time when baking will stop in order to start at the time you have set.
10. The oven will turn ON at the delayed start time and begin heating.
When the Set Bake Time Runs Out:
a. "END" will appear in the display window and the oven will shut-off automatically.
b. The control will beep 3 times every 60 seconds until Stop/Clear is pressed.

thanks
good luck

It is probably a fault with the termic switch that turns off the machine when the bread is ready or a faulty timer cycler.

If the breadmaker is less than one year old you can get it repaired, if not call the factory and claim that this is a factory defect, you will probably get a replacement.

Call the number listed on the user manual.

I need a manual for my 5891 breadmaker

Sunbeam has the manuals for some of their kitchen appliances on their support site: http://www.sunbeam.com/InstructionManuals.aspx?section=kitchen . The direct link to the 5891 bread maker manual is http://www.sunbeam.com/Manuals/MANUALS/005891-000-000_43_4357793.PDF . Note you will need Adobe Reader or a similar program to read the file.

I hope this helps.
