If the web cam setup isn't working uninstall the webcam and reinstall it? If that fails you may have a corrupt area in the registry, try using reg-edit to remove anything that has to do with the webcam and reinstall if that fails.

Inverted image crystal eye

Hi,

It may happen if the WebCam position is upside down. Was it dropped or open by any chance?

You can follow the below mentioned steps:

You can restore the computer back to factory default,to do so, follow the below steps: Turn OFF the computer, now as soon as you hit the power button, keep on holding "Alt" key
& keep on tapping "F10" key, i.e Alt+f10, it will open the recovery console, select full factory restore and follow on screen instruction.
NOTE: This will erase all the data on the computer.

Thanks and regards,
Jitha

Crystal eye web cam not found on aspire 5920

Hi,

Acer aspire has inbuilt web camera and therefore will work only if the correct drivers are installed. Please uninstall the drivers first from control/panel/add remove programs. Next reboot the system and then go ahead with the installation.

Why does my built in web cam takes upside down pictures

check the settings. some softwares that come with the webcams have settings for reverse type modes. if that's not it, it may be the wrong driver.

Yahoo! Messenger > Yahoo! Messenger Help > Messenger 8 > Webcam How do I correct an upside-down image? That’s no fun. The image in your Webcam Uploader window might be inverted because of your camera setting.

To change the setting:

Click Messenger and select "My Webcam."

In the window that opens, click the "File" menu,

select "Preferences," and choose "Webcam".
Click the "Camera Settings" button.

There is usually a checkbox for "Invert Image" or "Mirror Vertical."

Un-check this box if one exists.

If you can't find this checkbox, try searching the other tabs.
