Question about Kenmore 15129 Built-in Dishwasher

Kenmore Ultra wash ll

I don't know how old the dishwasher is, it was here when we moved in. I loaded the washer and it got part way through the wash cycle and never finished. It has water standing in the bottom and won't empty out or run. We have done 100's of load in the dishwasher before( we have been here for over 1 year) and never had this happen before. How can I fix the problem?

I know the power is good, I tried another outlet that I know works. Can you tell me where the panel is to remove and how to get to the circuit board. I don't know anything about this type of stuff.

I have the same problem. Wife opened up during the cycle to get a cup, and now the washer has water sitting in bottom with what appears to be no power at the controls (no buttons working, no LEDs working). Checked the power to the unit and of course that is not the problem.

Sounds as if you may have blowna fuse on the control board, i would check incoming ower supply first for 110v. if power supply is good i would reomve the panel and check the circuit board for a a fuse that might have blown little white fuse attached to the side of the electronic control

How do you open the soap dispenser on a Kenmore Ultra Wash dishwasher?

Push the little lever sticking out of the dispenser.
Maybe you have some calcium or hardened soap that is holding the lid closed. some Lemi-Shine powder dissolved in hot water and use an old toothbrush to clean off the soap/hard-water deposits.

Water does not completetly drain

First think I would check is to see is if the disposal is clear. Many dishwashers are being connected directly to the disposal (if you have one) and don;t use an air gap because of asthetics. Another area to look at is the float (sort of an upside down looking cup) to make sure that moves freely. Hope that helps.

Kenmore Ultra Wash dishwasher

check and see if you are getting ac 110 volts to your water vave when trying to start the unit. if no power check your breakers and /or the incoming power to your dishwasher if they are ok and show 110 voltage coming to the unit then you probably have a control board or touchpad problem which would need a little more detailed check out.
If you do have ac 110 to your water valve then you may just have a bad water valve. Because the washer has to fill first. Hope that helps!!

Kenmore dishwasher, water not going through the jets

when you hear the motor running during the wash cycle, check to see if the washer is actually draining instead of washing. this would indicate a stuck open drain valve. (the same motor/pump that washes the dishes, also drains the unit)
