Washer does not fill with enough water.

No matter which size load is selected or if left for the machine to decide, the washer does not fill with enough water. If a medium size load is in the washer and extra large load is manually selected, then it usually fills with enough water. This is the only way to get enough water in it. I have to manually fill the washer with water for every wash and rinse.

The water level is controlled by a pressure switch connected to a long rubber hose that goes inside the tub. If the switch is defective or if the pressure hose is blocked the machine may under-fill.

Check also inlet hose and water pressure from the house.

Thank you all for your suggestions. My husband removed the water level switch and can move the dial manually from setting to setting. However, when he put it back in place, same problem. Setting the dial to small and medium produces the same amount of water. I will ask him to check the hose that connects to the water level switch for any obstruction. I think the water level switch needs replacement. But wanted to check.

there is a sensor that tell the valve when to turn on and how much water should go thru the machine, it is a selinoid valve in the water line with a wire commming out of it,, you will either need to replace this your self or have a tech come out and tend to it

SOURCE: Washer continuously fills but drains at the same time during rinse cycle.

you have the drain pipe too low into tthe house drain pipe, raise the washers drain pipe up , you only need four inches down into the hous drain

also the house drain pipe needs to be as high as the lid of the machine before you put the washer drain tube into the house drain

you have a syphoning effect

Hot water stops filling too soon.

Fill setting has to be adjusted and the belt is slipping on the spin cycle and not generating enough centrifugal force to get the water out.

Water dose ot stop when washer is full. It continues to run.

If you disconnected power and water still flowed, replace the water valve. If water stopped flowing when power was disconnected, clean out tube from tub to water level switch.

Wont run unless it is a mid sized load.

You either have a problem with your water level selector switch or you have debris in your tube.. if you know how to take your washer apart you can check the tube... or if you can take out the console where the water level switch is unplug the tube from switch.. blow tube and plug back onto switch.. see if that works.. if the tube has a crack replace it.. good luck...
