Advent ADE-AD2 drver for vista SP1?

Just bought Advent ADE-AD2 - CD drivers don't support my OS. Vista SP1.
OK, the mouse and Keyboard work fine but shouldn't I be able to customize my settings, e.g. cursor speed etc?

Hi It has been driving me batty. Took it back to PC world and they replaced it as I thought it was faulty. But it ssems to work for some time then just freeze - the mouse that is. The keyboard will work for a time then stop so booting up becomes impossible ubntil I get my wife's Mac keyboard. I was told by PC World this was Vista compatible but it clearly is very flaky. Have searched all over the web and many others have problem but I cannot see any Vista drivers anywhere.

A partial solution is to try running the autorun on the Setup CD in Vista compability mode set to XP SP2. That didnot work propoerly until I flagged see all users on that menu. That then gives you the Admin priveleges you will need on your Vista machine (UAC) and it sets off and installs in two parts. The first part the keyboard bit goes OK and installs into %program files/Wireless. The second bit which is presumably to do with all those Magic keys and their use ands installs into % program Files/Slim Multimedia Keyboard goes fine untill the last 1% of itsd progress ribbon and then says Open key failed. So still not there.

Anyone got any better or more up to date locations or ideas?

I ignored the "doesn't support your OS" and rebooted. I then got the information icons (scroll lock, num lock, caps lock) on the taskbar. I'm happy with that.

Advent 7088 bios battery location also keyboard and mouse not working, have reset bios and have checked keyboard connection and is ok, have tried a usb keyboard and mouse but still not working, any ideas...

First, permit me to ask, why are you wanting to get to the BIOS battery? If you have reset the BIOS from within the BIOS itself, pulling the battery will afford you little more -- except for the pain and aggravation of getting to it (it is located on the motherboard, which entails COMPLETELY disassembling the computer to get to it.)

Your problem may be another issue -- drivers for instance. Have you recently upgraded your system to Windows Vista or Windows 7?????

You may just need to reinstall the drivers (provided you haven't done a recent OS upgrade) You can download most of the drivers you need from here:{7c90be6e-56ed-4b7f-92db-7d55116ee3f1}&CatID={a56a54f2-200d-4fed-9715-bfd90ce2b39e}

Give these a try, and provide more information in your problem description -- we maybe able to help resolve a problem a lot quicker and easier than you thought!

Advent ADE-AD2 Wireless keyboard and mouse

I've actually just bought a new keyboard and mouse (Today!) because I could not get my advent ade-ad2 to work at all on vista, (Previously had it on my xp).
Thought I'd give it one last try as PC world were no help this morning and previous internet searches were no help either.

Soooo. after the usual on/off...push in little button on underside etc.etc...the only thing that I did different was press the "wake" button on the keyboard.

Bloody hell, it worked!

New keyboard going back tomorrow!

Unotron optical mouse under Vsta HPrm !

The Unotron CS5100 range was discontinued some 3 - 4 years ago and replaced with the WS5100 so I am guessing that the one you have would not support Vista.

Have you tried contacting the place you bought it from, maybe they will switch it for you?

I have an Advent wireless keyboard problem

Your keyboard is probably set to the wrong region.

Start, control panel,Regional and language options, languages, details.

select united kingdom keyboard and delete the usa one.

this is right for XP - If your using Vista it might be different.

Also I bet the @ key will give you a " sign so this could be a temporary fix

Advent ade-ad2 keyboard an mouse problem

do you have an Infra Red device that is installed on your main PC. Because most laptops have infra Red devices and as well with bluetooth connectivity to function your wireless keyboard and mouse.. Go to my computer icon, right click on it then left click properties then go to device manager then check for additional devices.
