Question about HP PC Desktops

1 Answer

I received my laptop ( less an operating system ) some 4 months ago from the carphone warehouse. H/P agreed to send me Vista home basic to get me up and running, however H/P forgot to include a manual which was promised at the time! This caused me some problems as I only had very scetchy instructions. Can you please send me a manual F.O.C and ASAP. My laptop is a h/p compaq6720s s/n cnu8140p4k Thank you R.M.F.Allan

My laptop E625-201G16Mi has windows Vista home basic, which is pre-installed so no disc. I need to wipe it and re-boot it, how can I do this?

One way to wipe out your computer is by Getting a Vista Disk or Operating system of your choice. It has to be a full installation disk. Try WIndows 7!!! I use it its great..When you install a new OS(operating System) it gives you the option to reformat your disk drive which in turn wipe out all your data and give your computer a fresh clean install..first things first..get a Valid Copy of Windows of your choice. I recommend WIndows 7 Professional.

Trouble with my new acer aspire desktop computer

Slow boot problems on any computers are due to 2 reasons :
(1) Hardware reasons and
(2)Software reasons

(TRY THE SOLUTION MENTIONED FOR SOFTWARE FIRST, IF THAT DOES NOT HELP, ONLY THEN TRY THE HARDWARE SOLUTION)

HARDWARE REASONS> if your system has less RAM (memory) then it can cause slow boot up issues,
SOLUTION FOR HARDWARE > I recommend you to check the amount of memory on your system., to check the memory on your system , click on start , then "right click" on "my computer " icon and select properties.. on the screen you will the the amount of RAM installed. I recommend 1 GB of RAM on a computer.

SOFTWARE REASONS> These can be a problem with the windows XP operating system.
SOLUTION FOR SOFTWARE> perform the steps as mentioned in the following links :
http://www.microsoft.com/atwork/getstarted/speed.mspx

All the best

Have a nice day!
