YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO GO TO THE HP WEBSITE AND LOOK TO REGISTER TAB AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO REGISTER ONLINE. IT SHOULD ONLY TAKE YOU A FEW MINUTES. IF YOU DON'T HAVE INTERNET CONNECTION YET , YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO CALL THE HP COMPANY AND ASK FOR THE REGISTRATION DEPARTMENT WHEN THEY ANSWER OR IF THEY HAVE PROMPTS THEY WILL HAVE A REGISTRATION PROMPT. HOPE THIS HELPS. FOLLOW THIS> ENTER " HP LAPTOPS" IN GOOGLE AND WHEN THE RESULTS COME UP HIT "HP OFFICIAL STORE" AND WHEN THAT OPENS ON THE TOP RIGHT CORNER IS A SEARCH BLOCK, ENTER" REGISTER WARRANTY " AND IT WILL OPEN THE WARRANTY PAGE AND ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS FILL IN THE INFORMATION! THAT IT! IF YOU NEED MORE HELP, REPLY TO: ARCLIGHT1217

Hi I have HP dv6767tx laptop which i purchased in april 2008 But 1 year ago, all of a sudden a bright strip around 1 to 2 inches in thickness appeared on the extreme left of the lcd screen. Affected...

very sorry to tell you that the lcd has gone bad because your laptop shows exact symptoms of this case.
As per what some HP costumers have told me HP takes this as a physical damage and does not give them a warranty even if it is in the warranty cover
Finally you will need to get it replaced

This is the most expensive fix after a motherboard and may cost you $180 or 8000-9000 INR

My hp pavillion dv6700 will not power up all of the blue lights will flicker as i press the power button for a few seconds then it will power off. ive tried taking the battery out and running it strictly...

Your DC jack may be loose or broken off the system board.

Symptoms of a broken power jack
1. If you wiggle the power cord or the AC Adapter connector on the back of the laptop, the power LED and battery charge LED start to flicker.
2. Battery will not charge in the laptop.
3. Laptop runs fine off a charged battery.
4. With the AC Adapter connected the laptop appears to be dead.
No power LED or battery charge LED activity.
5. Laptop randomly powers off without any warning.

If your laptop is out of warranty, then you can fix the problem by re-soldering DC-IN jack on the system board. If it's still under warranty, it would be fixed at no charge to you.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

No Boot Up Too

Sorry to hear about your HP problems with your DV2000
If you go to HP.COM and check the recalls and extended warranty.
I some cases HP offers an additional 1 year from date of warranty expiration. or 2 years from date of purchase.
If your unit has lost video, shuts down, won't startup.. Review, these areas under your model...
Note.......
Do not call HP if possible until you have found the needed information on your machine.

1. After you have your information,
(A) copy it, (B) call on it. (C) Register your problem with HP and get a Trouble ticket on file.
If HP is going to warranty to repair, they will issue you a New warrant for the New Repair, from the date of the New repair.
Don’t waist time, one day can make the difference...
Hope this information has been of help to you...
John Ray
P.S. Please check your LapTop battery’s for possible recalls.

Still got my clicking coming from inside my laptop

Usually, the clicking means your hard drive is about to fail. Unfortunately, there is no much you can do about it. Since your PC is 4 months old, you should still be under warranty. Just ask them to replace it.

If they won't, you can get pick a brand new one online at decent prices.

Good luck
