Question about Alpine Car Audio & Video

1 Answer

I have a Peugeot 106 Quiksilver (2000 model year) and have just installed an Alpine CDE-9880R head unit which works great. However, when I turn off the ignition it forgets all its settings (tuned radio stations, bass/treble etc). How can I get it to remember?

Tip

No audio even though sterio wires are all connected

My 1997 Alpine CDE-7828's wiring schematic doesn't disclose one important thing for many older and possibly even some newer sterios (aka 'head units'). If all wires are connected per the sterio's schematic andf sound is missing, you probably have a dedicated pin on yout vehicle's harness/connector that will read something like 'Turn-on AMP signal", <br />until you jumper the ignition hot lead (between the harness plug and your sterio) to your vehicle's 'Turn-on AMP signal' pin/connector wire (add a wire if none is supplied in your vehicle's connector), you won't get any sound even though all the other wires are connected per your head unit''s instructions.

I have an Alpine MRX-M100 amp and SWR-1223d subwoofer sound drop problem

My first guess would be line-in gain is dropping. I would try plugging a different deck into the amp or use an mp3 device with a 3.5mm to RCA cord as an input and see if you can replicate the issue. If you can with a different input device, its an issue with the amp

I have an alpine cde-100 head unit that has lost the right sideof the speakers.left will play nothing on the right.could it be right side output gone?

It is possible that the right channel is broken. Check that all the cables are connected properly, as that could also cause this problem.

I have an Alpine CDE-100 and when I hooked up my subs and amp I would only get subs with radio and regular speakers for my ipod via usb and the cd player? I had a friend that use to install sound systems...

While I don't know the specifics of this head unit, I would guess that it has settings that can be adjusted for each source. You might check to see if there's a menu that allows you to turn the subs on/off for the various program sources.

How do I attach the KCE-422i iPod adaptet to my Alpine CDE-9852?

Very easily, just pull the head unit out. Plug the adapter into the round receptacle, run your cable to a convienient place and plug your Ipod in, switch the source to ipod and listen away. Good luck
