these old sets operate in a high heat environment inside, the solder on the circuit boards gets brittle and cracks eventually causing certain circuits to quit operating. The inside of a tv with a crt, (the picture tube), can have 20,000 volts or more inside even when the set is off so probably a novice should not attempt.

I have small TV called Konka for my small kid.This TV was bought in 2000.My problem is that kids have damaged the remote control of this TV now to operate it I need Unversal Remote control. Konka tv is never found on any of the manual of unversal remote control lists.
