Question about Emerson Smartset Clock Radio

Projection malfunction New clock, new battery. The projection does not project clearly. You can only see part of the numbers.

Sorry it took so long to answer your question. This may be a problem with the adjustment of the light guide on the Clock/Radio. You must check your owners manual and make sure you adjusted the light guide correctly. If after making sure you have checked the owner manual for the correct way to adjust the light guide, you are still having problems with the display. You can call the Emerson Customer support at this telephone number 1-800-909-1240. Call them between the hours of 8am to 4:30pm central time USA. Give them the make and model number of your Clock/Radio and ask them for assistance with your problem. I hope this information helps you solve your problem with the projection display. The projection clock is not working


Since I'm not sure on the model, it's hard to say, but, on some models the projection clock is seperate from the regular clock. It is actually ran on batteries. If it rotates or moves, look underneath or around the projection housing for a screw or a sliding piece and change the batteries if it has any. If it is the same unit, you may have a more serious problem. Hopefully it's an easy fix!

Remote signal not received by Shift 3 projection alarm clock


1) Does the remote have batteries? See other posts that describe how to do this (4 screws in back need to be removed). Temperature should be displayed in small window of the sending unit if it's working.
2) Hold Channel button for 3 seconds until it beeps - the unit then searches for a signal.

Time projection repeatedly either fails to turn on/off/lock


You have to change the internal battery. The type of battery is a CR2430. This battery has only a three year life span in ideal conditions. If you have had power outages or left the Clock/ Radio unplugged for long periods of time the battery life shortens. You can find the battery is most electronic stores and in large drugstores and supermarkets. Fry's electronics, Radio shack.You must unplug the radio from the plug and let the microprocessor discharge and reset itself. This will take about a hour. After you let it discharge, you can put the new battery in the Clock/Radio and check to see if the problem is fixed.If this does not fix the problem, you have a damaged microprocessor and will have to buy a new clock/radio. Emerson does not provide out warranty service for this product. I hope this information help you with your problem.

Emerson Research Clock w/Projection Display Not Working


You will need to reset the microprocessor in the Clock/Radio. To do this you must unplug the Clock/Radio and remove the internal battery. Let the Clock/Radio set for at least 1 hour and then put the battery back in and plug in the Clock/Radio. The functions should return to normal. If not, replace the battery (CR2430) and leave the Clock/Radio unplug for a period of hours. Then put in the new battery and and plug in the Clock/Radio to see if the functions have returned to normal. If not you may have a more serious problem with the microprocessor. You can call the Emerson customer support at this telephone number 1-800-898-9020 between the hours of 7am-5pm CT. Give them the make and model number of the Clock/Radio and ask them for assistance. I have a new Emerson CKS3528 clock radio with projected clock. The LED clock reads the correct time, which is 4:30pm, but the projected clock reads 9:30am. What should I do?

I doubt there is a way to change that, but it's also not clear which way it's supposed to go anyway.  Mine projects "right side up" if you are facing the same direction as the clock is facing - that is imagine you are looking away from the face of the clock.  It is upside down if you are looking at the clock's readout.  One way to solve the problem would be for you to turn the wheel of the projector to make it face the opposite wall.  It will then be right side up.

You need to reset the microprocessor in the Clock/Radio. To do this you must unplug the Clock/Radio from the A/C source. You must also remove the internal battery (CR2430). You must let the Clock/Radio set without any power source for at least 3 hours to allow all the power to drain from the microprocessor. After the power has drained from the microprocessor, you can reinsert the internal battery and reconnect the Clock/Radio to the A/C power source.Now test the Clock/Radio, to See if the functions have returned to normal. If they have not returned to normal,unplug the Clock/Radio from the A/C power source and remove the internal battery. Replace this battery with a new Battery (CR2430). Let the microprocessor drain all the power out. Then reinsert the new battery and plug the Clock/Radio in to the A/C power source. The Clock/Radio functions should have returned to normal. If this is not the case, then you may have a more serious problem with the Clock/Radio. You will need to call the Emerson Customer Support. The Emerson Customer Support Telephone number is 1-800-909-1240. Give them the make and model number of your Clock/Radio and ask them for assistance with your problem.
