If you ahve teh software installed, right click the icon and select the properties option then locate the tab that has the option to run in compatibility mode. Set the software to run in Windows XP or Vista compatibility. If it is stopping the installation, right click the installation file and tell it to run in compatibility mode with a previous version of windows to install.
hi , this problem usually occurs when a user is having internet explorer 8
and hp smart web printing is not installed or if you are using windows xp
then the service pack is not updated
so the best solution would be to use internet explorer 7 and install hp smart web printing from cd
or to down load firefox and print through it
if you have windows xp
then you can update the service pack 3

Go to HP.com, click on Drivers Download, enter Deskjet F830 in the model box and click search. You will then be asked to pick your Operating System, most likely Windows XP or Vista. You will then be shown all the available downloads for that printer. Download and install the driver and the printer should work.
Do you have windows xp for os ???? If so deinstall your printer on your computer and disconnect your usb connection.
First install the driver by putting your cd in your computer...Some product will tell you when to connect your usb cable to your computer...if not, make sure your driver is correctly install. After, reboot your PC and plug-in your usb cable and power up your printer....
