Question about Sceptre DragonFlat D73F (White) 17 in.CRT Conventional Monitor
Dragon eye/Dragon flat CRT monitor, 17" manufactured April 12 2001 Adjustments are on front, OSD type. This display is pale, even when brightness control is right down and contrast right up. Other settings OK. A quick look inside shows a bit of dust otherwise no obvious problems. All parts thru hole, can't see any SMD. I can't find any obvious controls or pots to adjust. Is this the end? Klave

Try your monitor on a different computer and see if you get the same result, if not, there is a problem with your pc operating system and or video card. If you get the same result, get a new lcd if it is not under warranty.

Not an expert, but from what Ive read, this is a cfl inverter issue. I had the same problem on my Sceptre. Good luck finding parts. My solution: get another monitor.
