The start button on my dryer is not working. Can I replace it myself?

if your comfortable working with electricity, open the control panel the start switch is on and take an insulated jumper wire and temporarily jump the switch terminals and see if this is your actual problem

Hotpoint TDC32 keeps switching off after a short while

Yes, it sounds like the relay is the prob
It is located at the top behind the console panel.
It is a clear plastic covered box about 3" long, and held in place by 2 screws.
Changing this should solve the prob.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Empty water light staying on machine will not work

Probably sticking float switch
Remove lower bottom left filter completely run water thro it to clean all fluff out reach inside and clear any build up of fluff that you can see or feel.
At the back of this aperture is a small hole that gets clogged up,feel for it and poke a plastic bag tie or similar, and poke it clear, if this does not work then it would probably involve a strip down to access the float chamber and switch assy.

Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

1. see if you have 220 at the plug, the dryer will run on 110 but won't heat.

2. Check the heating coil, it could be broken.
